I've been seeing absolutely insane prices for IST-ICN on TK. The cheapest roundtrip is ~2100 USD with most flights costing noticeably more than that. A lot of flights are completely booked a week or two out, I've never seen demand like this. Going transit with ME3 is slightly cheaper but not by much...

Given the pretty big negative reaction to the 787 Business Class seats... what are the chances/how feasible is it for TK to fit their future 787s with a better business class seat plan?

What does the future plan of IST look like right now?
I can only find construction plans going a quite a few years back but they don't resemble the current plan much anymore, so the airport's plan has obviously changed.
Do we know where the new terminal or runways are being built?

I'm not surprised that there is operational hiccups with the new airport. It would be extraordinary if everything went smoothly.
With that being said, I think companies like TAV, who actually have decades of experience running airport ops, would be better suited for running IST.

Again you miss the point. TK takes in more foreign currency than it pays out. It can pay LHR charges with the GBP it earns, aircraft leases with USD and have foreign currency left over.
