At this point only SCAT is still flying the MAX besides USA/Canadian airlines, wouldn't have expected such an approach to safety from North-American countries. I expect Canada to follow soon. Just for the record: Since the year 2000 Ryanair recorded seven runway excursions & overruns while in the same time-period THY got 14 of them (in five of them, a 737 was involved).

After 13 years of operations, seasonal service to HAM (EDDH) will be ultimately suspended and not resumed in 2019, leaving HAM (the 2nd largest German metropole) without any trans-atlantik flights.

This morning a Germania 737-700 pushing back from terminal 3 took serious damage when it hits the rh stabilizer of a parked 767-300 of EL AL. flight was filed from Baghdad to Hahn (Germany) but that YI-ASA circled over the Black Sea and eventually returned to Baghdad. Possible legal issues, after IAW is on the EU Black List preventing any entry.

EZY said their goal was to became #1 in HAM. Sounds ambitious in hindsight regarding their moderate growth in recent years.
