to carry boxes, Fx uses mainly AMJ , that can fit in mmost of the fleet. if your 747 is loaded with AMJs, 1/3 of the main deck volume is occupied by air. Air doesn't bring a lot of revenue... with its 2 main decks, the now defunct A380F would have been fully used. that's why Fx was interested in A38...
