Re: Iran conflict a threat to gulf carriers?

Its sad when politicians push the Big Brother attitude and wrestle the world into an economic downturn. And 3-4 days ago I read the funniest news stories by FAA and its military friends "https://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/wireStory/us-warns-airliners-flying-persian-gulf-amid-iran-63119307'.... Ir...

They did with a 77W for some time

They did DXB>JFK>DXB via HAM with the beautiful A340-500. My trip was in 12/2007.

Re: Solving Indian problem- consolidation...?

Before finding any solution we need to understand the depth of ultra-corrupted relationship that every single sector keeps in my great nation. One needs to seek the truth behind most start ups, the corrupted relationships they keep (or forced to keep), and the billions needed to feed the leeches in ...

Re: Air India resumes Mumbai-New York JFK from 07DEC

On numerous peak seasons we have seen AI's pricing go very competitive and with the 1 stop being within India AI will become preferable to many. IMHO 3 weekly could change to 5 soon. I prefer 3-3-3 seating on AI & new KU any day over 3-4-3 on B777...….I am also waiting on the fate of this route ...

These kind of entertainment news, its public reaction, law suits are only going to get worse day after day. I don't think we, the social animals, can/will ever come up with an even code to satisfy their desire of public exhibition (including power, homophobia, thirst to display their sexual desires)...

It's the same "rationale" that's made Cuba 'evil' for the last 50-odd years. Communism is, by its very nature, evil. History proves that. The kulaks. The gulags. The purges. The reeducation camps. One could go one. I know its late into this conversation/thread ... but can you prove your c...

Re: Delta to serve Mumbai nonstop in 2019

My guess: ex-ATL on the 77L. ATL has less competition US/IN. JFK may have more O&D, but connecting traffic will fill more seats at ATL than at JFK or DTW. I agree. If DL can do ATL-DEL & JFK-BOM with connectivity using 9W or SG or 6E (within 2-3 hrs), the one stop service should workout. On...

Re: Delta to serve Mumbai nonstop in 2019

Wouldn’t the flight route of NYC/ATL/DTW-India go straight north, and then fly over China/Russia plus some other nations with “US perceived ‘security’ issues”? It seems like whatever routing is chosen would have to overfly areas that could become politically unstable or closed airspace. I could be ...

Re: How Has Indian Aviation Evolved in Recent Decades?

Does anyone remembers the old COK Willingdon airport observatory floor where we use to buy tickets and did plane spotting. It was a space open to public. Also in many terms COK was the real game changer in Indian Aviation, and the model is now used/reffered in many business case studies. Usually in ...

Flew JFK>KWI>TRV and back TRV>KWI>SNN>JFK on KU's new birds. One of the reasons I choose B773 with AI & KU is the 3-3-3 coach seating. Ku has new planes but seats were uncomfortable. lot of onboard changes also new planes = cut down on amenities.

Sources and family confirms EK has alarming concerns with A380 inventory and DWC failure. Employees are asked to leave and matters are kept very quite. Doesn't look good.
