As someone that lives in a Minnesota EAS city, I'm looking forward to a slightly bigger plane and more available seats. It can sometimes be difficult to book a flight in some seasons due to high demand.

Trying to avoid to political discussion, but the Tennessee Legislature is working on a bill to the Airport Authority a state agency and not a separate political entity. Interesting that it's on BNA they are seeking to control,not MEM or other commercial airports.

JMS has two proposals to consider this week. One is from Skywest Charter using a 30-seater splitting between DEN and MSP 12x week. Bid two is from Northern Pacific Airways with a turboprop to MSP 14x week.

I would not be surprised to see some Mexican/Latin carrier set up shop at BNA. Nashville-Metro has a 10% Latin Population and certainly plenty in the outside cities. Additionally, lot of business connections between Mexico/Nashville.

If the new additions are true, I am surprised FAR is off the list of Sun Country locations. The area is much larger than Rapid City, plus the potential to pull some Canadian traffic if the fares are just right.

Ah, yes a lack of airport is exactly why Gary is a failing city that has lost nearly 2/3 of it's population in 30 years. I know this more for pax outside of Gary, but seems the city needs to work on many more things first to bring back it's economic and social heyday.

Kansas is certainly the biggest "loser" of this half of their commercial airports are no-longer being served in addition to Joplin near the state border. People in western Kansas will have quite the drive to the nearest airport.
