I'll almost always fly WN before the other 3 legacies. As an AA million miler. WN has better crew, no nickel and dime fees, no change fees, better coach legroom, smoother boarding. They also allow me to avoid LAX by using a different area airport most of the time.

Love how quiet the ride was in the front, as DocLightning mentioned. An increase in airflow hiss from the vents, a quiet push you back into your seat, and you knew takeoff roll had started!

I also find boarding less stressful with WN. No gate lice crowding the boarding area. A neat set of lines. You can check in 24 hrs in advance or pay a bit extra for a good boarding position. And no regional jets and having to gate-check your bags.

As far as I know, no FIS in BUR and certainly has not been in the last 20 years, as I fly out of there a lot. I guess I could be wrong. Don't know how hard it would be to put in place. Could they use cities that have US FIS at the destination as some do?

BUR rwy 8 lands on 8, take off on 26 (rare) for commercial ops only I believe. High terrain to the east. I think that opposite ops are allowed for small GA aircraft.

I don't see nontraditional fuels being the primary source for a new airplane before the 30's, if even then. Hydrogen has all sorts of problems of energy density, explosiveness, and making metals brittle. Electric has the battery energy density issue. I could see an electric hybrid approach though.
