This plane looks cool. I may be weird, but I really liked the E120 (it had too many limiting factors when combining fuel amounts and passenger weights though (I fueled for ASA and it was a nightmare)).
Jump to postFinally got to see a SWA MAX in ATL today. She was outbound, beautiful and really quiet leaving 27R compared to her sister NGs that left about the same time. Thanks to everyone on here for all of the updates.

How many airports that saw A380s are unlikely to ever see them again? In the US, ATL/BOS/ORD/DFW/HNL/IAH/LAX/MIA/JFK/SFO/IAD all saw regular A380 operations. ATL will probably never see regular A380 ops again, and I would say the same is likely true for IAH/DFW/MIA/BOS. ATL depends on KE if they ke...
Jump to postThank you. Being in Atlanta, I miss out on a lot (and I don't take time for the hobby like I used to). Keep up your awesome work.
Jump to postAir Stairs for Malta Air or is this a NTU bird reallocated?
Jump to postUnfortunately, what is conveyed in these "Ads" is not what we get in real life. Mediocre onboard amenities and indifferent service. We are talking about ads that are 30years old. There were no internet, you called a toll free number to make reservations and buy tickets or go to a travel a...
Jump to postI'm just glad to finally get to see some 787s. Good day today catching the BA 789 and 78X, AF 787, and TUI 787. The 78X came out of the South Cargo ramp. How long has Signature been running off spotters? Today was the first time in 30+ years I was asked to leave. New terminal = new rules? The airpo...

Do the BUZZ frames have airstairs like the Ryanair birds?

As a dependant of "Daddy D", I remember the start up of London and Frankfurt from the T gates in ATL. The L1011's were 500s and the American Flag was prominent at the top of the tail (regulation at the time?). I was 11 in 1980.
Jump to postMy last MD88 flight was to PHL and I sat first row window on right side. Last flight for that day and the seat was cheaper than cattle car any other time of the day.
Jump to postNo. I was on the first 717 AirTran got and immediately walked to the back (I was at ASA on C Concourse and she was sitting on the end of C). That new plane smell was wonderful.
Jump to postI'll miss the air stairs under the tail. That was one thing I loved about the 727 as well.
Jump to postCan the Boeing/Airbus leaders not look out their windows and see all of the planes sitting on the tarmacs? I understand they have employees (and stockholders) to take care of, but why build a plane just to have it sit? They need to make a decision so that their supply chains know what to do.
Jump to postAlthough the COVID crisis is unprecedented, past recessions did also make airplanes go away quickly and somewhat unexpectedly. The TWA Convair 880s, for example, were grounded very quickly after the economy crashed in late 1973. And the 1982 recession and interest rate spike pretty much ended it fo...
Jump to postI get all of the discussion about death and the economy, but why produce new planes when airlines are parking them wherever they will fit right now? Safety before more huge paperweights.
Jump to postI don't think anyone at Northwest Airlines protested when Delta's flight widget was pointing towards the northwest when they unveiled their new livery. To this day i like that (unintentional) nod to their merger partner :) 4177297 1326808 It points to the NE on the other side. Nod to the Yellowbird?

Jump to postAirstairs. Thank you. I was wondering if this was still an option. I remember when I was young seeing them on DC-9s and the tail stairs on 727s and DC-9s. We used the Ryanair 737-800s aircraft airstairs last week. Ground handling were too slow for the company! Watching videos made the turn look qui...

Jump to postI think the UA redo is so so. 1) I do not like billboard lettering. I think it is tacky....if AA had gone with a dark shade of blue instead of grey for AMERICAN, it would have improved the look. It's a tolerable change for UA because it's still blue. 2) I think the wavy cheatline is tacky. I'm not ...
Jump to postThe Delta livery has absolutely nothing to do with Northwest. Prior to merging with Northwest, Delta was also in talks with United. So where is the nod to United in case that was their merger partner? Also, what if Northwest had been the surviving brand? Does the Northwest livery have a nod to Delt...

Love the lettering behind the cockpit.
The O looks like a box in the cross section of the fuselage. Kind of like other companies play with their logos (looking at you FedEx).
Jump to postI miss the days of naming airplanes. National (merged with Pan Am), Pan Am, Piedmont just to name a few. Always nice to spot one you hadn't seen before or to look for a specific one.
Jump to postWhile I haven't heard this whistle, I have a hard time relating to those who don't enjoy the aircraft noise.
