Re: Reports of Ukrainian 737 Crash in Tehran,Iran

Well, if someone pressed the launch button by mistake, I hope it is still alive, knowing the Iranian regime.

I hope there will be an investigation to find those responsible and that they will be prosecuted and punished.

With all we know so far, it's hard for me to think in a catastrophic mechanical failure that may have caused the accident. But it's still a possibility. Given the current circumstances, I hope the investigations will be conducted by a neutral country, in respect to the victims' relatives and the tru...

Al-Hadath is now saying "It is speculated" that the aircraft was shot down, citing FR24 data.

Basically, they have no confirmation that the aircraft has been shot down.

Very unlikely that Iran will let Boeing or NTSB participate in investigations with current tensions. This could end up undermining investigations or even facilitating a cover up if the aircraft was really shot down by a missile.

Field elevation at Almaty listed at 2234 ft. This means the aircraft barely or didn't get off the ground before the accident, if FR24 data is accurate.

The E195-E2 is 41.5m long, more than 5m longer than the longest aircraft certified for LCY (E190). I doubt if the E195-E2 would be capable to operate in LCY without disrupting airport o...

The A321neo, E195-E2 and the 737 MAX 10 are attracting or beginning to attract more attention from airlines than smaller versions. The E195-E2 already has four times more firm orders than the E190-E2.

Clearly a change compared to the old version of these aircraft families.
