United has been regularly upguaging Chicago from A319s to A320s and 737-700s to 737-800s. They are full or nearly full most nights. Service seems to be doing really well. Could we see a second ORD or an IAH flight next summer as a result? Anyone have numbers for European connections out of FAT? A l...Jump to post
IIRC, on my HA flight from LAX-OGG 2 years ago, one of the FAs said the LAX based crews often do same day turns to the islands, so LAX-HNL/OGG/KOA-LAX, which is a pretty long day I think.Jump to post
Just for fun, looking at the current PDEW between Fresno and some of the cities mentioned today (without consider connecting opportunities): MSP - 32 ATL - 26 IAH - 25 CLT - 17 Interesting. Though all 4 of those hubs provide many 1-stop destination opportunities not available with FAT's current fli...Jump to post
The FAT master plan estimates (just a rough cost until actual design and bidding) put a 2 gate expansion, new FIS, plus expanded baggage makeup, expanded security, and expanded concessions at over $63 million. California construction costs (even in Fresno) will be higher than in Oklahoma or Kansas ...Jump to post
To put some more information out there: - The Dodgers usually take a 738 or 753 during the regular season (March through September). 738s are generally used on their shorter trips while this year they opted for the 753 on East Coast trips and when their roster expanded in September (meaning more pla...Jump to post
While I am personally biased towards FAT, I still see great potential for AS here, especially with the OO mx and crew base (although FAT has historically been a CRJ-only crew base), and as mentioned, the current renovations of gate 6 and 8 to accommodate B737s/A320s. Some thoughts: 1. I second the s...Jump to post

We're working to confirm who was on board, we believe there were no guests or crew on board other than the p...Jump to post
Twitter user Tyler Rogoway @Aviation_Intel reports there may be a crash site and unconfirmed if F-15's shot it down. Of course, this is still unconfirmed.
Really surprised to see them change the one-stop A320 to ORD to the evening A321, but of course F9's schedule is always rotating. And with UA starting ORD in June I can see why they would change the scheduling. I would love to see FAT attract some more carriers and routes. DL is sorely lacking, with...Jump to post

N625VA is now out of the hangar in VCV, per Alaska Airlines twitter!
As much I don't think they will be based in ATL, I'd love to see them launch ATL-FAT or even FAT-MSP one of these days and the Cseries would be the perfect plane to use. I recall DL was going to launch FAT back in 2007 before it got scrapped because of the recession, and with AA going double daily 7...Jump to post
