It is indeed a pin option in the software like Avioniker said above. In a simulator, the change is made by pressing a button when the cockpit is powered off.

Certain European airlines, like Maersk, Luxair and Hamburg Airlines are using the EADI/EHSI (classic) layout.

Several books claim the 707 was christened Stratoliner, but if so that name was re-used as it was originally worn by the Boeing 307.

The prefix Strato- was often used by Boeing in the 50s/60s; e g B-47 Stratojet, B-52 Stratofortress and not to forget Model 377 Stratocruiser...
