Is it really set in stone that a merger/integration of Brussels and Eurowings will lead into removal of the Brussels Airlines brand? While Eurowings and Brussels might become a single organisational entity, LH might keep the Brussels brand alive. Happens in many industries; same product sold through...Jump to post
Press Release: https://corporate.ryanair.com/news/new-bag-policy-from-november-will-cut-check-bag-fees-reduce-boarding-delays/ What surprises me is that they aren't increasing the price for priority boarding. While I happily not carry anything around for boarding, I even hate waiting for my bag to a...Jump to post
Laudamotion, in which Ryanair has a 24.9pc stake, is to start services from Dublin Airport to Vienna from October 28. The daily service will pit it against Aer Lingus on the route, with Laudamotion flights departing Dublin at 14.05 hours and departing Austria at 16.15 hours. Is the plane based in D...Jump to post
Hi all, Why are larger airports more expansive than smaller/regional airports? Shouldn't the economy of scales make operating a large airport cheaper on a per unit basis? Some examples, from what I read on a.net, the landing fees for LHR are higher than for LGW, STN, and LTN. Similar, FRA and HHN or...Jump to post
Norwegian is worth more as a fleet for its assets then the brand and operation they currently have. What airline currently has a huge fleet of 787 ready to be reconfigured and repainted ? To answer the thread starters question. Both - individuals and cooperations with contracts - are an airlines customer. but the purchaser, even in the case of "re-imbursement" ie the corporation, in many cases is a corporation so this is actually a good question. For carriers like NK , G4 a...Jump to post
Does Norwegian have for their UK airline the same issue with Russian overflights as they have/had for their Scandinavian airline?
AFAIK, the overflight treaty between Russia and the Scandinavian countries limited it to one airline. But that shouldnt apply Norwegian's other AOCs.
I think if you want to make a fair assessment whether Lufthansa is using this for price hikes or not, you need to wait a couple of months for the chaos to settle. I had to pay much more for EU flights to Berlin in November than anytime before. These flights were with BA, Ryanair, Easyjet and Eurowin...Jump to post

To be honest the CTA should be scrapped. When you arrive back into DUB you go through passport control like every other arrival. Only UK Airports have special lanes/buses. It would be quicker to just go the normal route. Arriving at LGW for example you get off the jet bridge then down steps to a bu...Jump to post

How do you know if your flight has been cancelled? (other than those routes that have been cut). I have about 10 flights booked with FR till the end of this year and haven't received anything. I just logged into my profile in Ryanair.com and I don't see anything different. I received emails and tex...Jump to post

What’s Ryanair’s usual plan for the aircraft freed up over winter ?
This year they probably use to fill slots freed by AirBerlin and Alitalia.
They have sold tickets on all of those flights, haven’t they?Jump to post
- TUIfly has indicated that is prepared to operate some of the 13 Boeing 737 currently operating for airberlin in its own right. There is also some talk that Lufthansa will facilitate the placement of some of the aircraft with SunExpress. I guess in both scenarios we are talking about the 8 Boeing ...Jump to post
Timothy may be still spinning the idea of old class structure, but Mueller's idea is to eliminate "the segregation of transportation classes", his own words. Mueller thinks, airlines should offer the whole basket of goods and services, passenger picks and pays for what they want. If I wan...Jump to post
Ah thank you - so the other source had got it wrong about £5 and check-in desk. But it does beg the question, how is this going to help? According to my source, it's already chaos and angry exchanges trying to get people to check their bags at the gate, now Ryanair wants everyone to do it!?! I thin...Jump to post
how does Ryanair pay for baggage handling? I would assume it's done on a per piece basis? I'd be surprised if this policy is actually good for profits as I don't think more people will buy priority boarding than extra luggage going into the hold. However, the change probably still looks good on the ...Jump to post

Hi, is it possible to go through security, go out of the airport and through security again with the same ticket? I have to spend some time at the Dublin airport. I like the food options behind security more and need to do some work. However, before flying out, I'd like to lock up my work laptop. Un...Jump to post
I wonder just how much Low Cost demand there is at FRA. It's never struck me as a significant O&D airport. The 7 million figure for future capacity seems mighty high. FRA serves the whole Frankfurt Rhine-Main area. 5.8 million people live there. They also seem to be pretty wealthy. While only b...Jump to post
... Thanks! So RAM is using QR instead of the usual contractors for extra capacity. I didn't think of that. I am still amazed how short term these kind of contracts seem to be made or changed. I would have expected that RAM had organized the extra lift for the summer months well in advanced if this...Jump to post
What is Royal Air Maroc doing with the extra lift? Did they add extra frequency or new destinations? I am just wondering how they can make use of extra capacity with such short notice?Jump to post

Nope. Last week. Three of us travelling on not-so-full aircraft (yes, for once.. it sometimes happens, even on FR) and we end in rows 7, 19 and 32; and two are window seats. So, no, they don't assign only middle seats - not at all. They just split up people. And not randomly, but as far away as pos...Jump to post
Just checked the seat allocation for my next flight tomorrow. Even if a couple wanted to pay for 2 seats together in a row, they wouldn't be able to do so as all rows already have the middle seat assigned to someone. This gives me the feeling that Ryanair hasn't really thought this through. In parti...Jump to post
This new seat assignment algorithm might backfire with increased turnaround times. “This consequently meant that quite a few groups were not sitting in the seats allocated to them, as a lot of swapping between passengers occurred.
