The MAX 7 would have too much space to be a 3 FA plane...but the A220-300 in a Y140 configuration (at 32" legroom, to match the legroom in the 737-800 and 737 MAX 8) would make perfect sense I am extremely confident that the 737 MAX 7 at WN will not have more than 150 seats. And at comparable ...Jump to post
"New SAN-Hawaii spin I heard today is that the NG800 is Too Heavy going west. So basically NO MAX NO SAN-Hawaii ???? Flyguy AS seems to have no issues. Every flight I've done westbound has had plenty of room for the required extra fuel for SAN-HI - even with winter winds. The only issues I've e...Jump to post
This schedule is Bananas. Pull the MAX or don't pull the MAX. Maybe they know something Boeing and the FAA doesn't. Hahahahaha. I know they had to make cuts because of the MAX grounding and 7377NG retirements they can push back but this schedule extension looks like they took the dart board from th...Jump to post
Gotta love the 787. Can do short domestic missions or ultra thin long haul!
Now it's only too bad the seats are so uncomfortable even for a 2 hr flight to ORD or PHX
Must watch. Video of the event from Southwest:
Ive seen flight attendants standing in the aisle on US airlines during landing for various reasons. It's not like it happens that often, but I don't think it's that big of a deal or thread worthy.Jump to post
BNA should be the next chapter in their story. I would not bet against them turning it into a 200-flight station. Absolutely BNA should one day be on par with BWI, MDW, DEN, LAS, etc. It makes a lot of sense. While it doesn’t (yet) have the O&D levels of those markets, it is the only viable mar...Jump to post

With all the Max airplanes that Southwest has being grounded two more airplanes being grounded is not a good thing.
Well that is a pretty cool promotion...some random families are going to win a trip of a lifetime for 30 bucks!Jump to post
Saw an older Southwest 737 at Opa-Locka, Florida last week. I’m assuming another retired aircraft being converted or chopped. If it was N629SW, it’s flying for Swift Air now and was recently repainted in a boring generic white and blue livery. At least it's closer to its original colors as Silver O...Jump to post

DFW-HND coming soon too.
States I'd imagine in the pipeline (pure speculation) Hawaii New York? (BUF, LGA, ALB, ROC, ISP) Ohio (CMH, CLE, CVG[yes i know it's in KY]) Georgia (ATL, AirTran tribute?) Oklahoma For Ohio, WN is only top dog in CMH. DL/UA are still the biggest at CVG/CLE respectively. I don't see Ohio being in t...Jump to post
I don't care if they need planes elsewhere to cover MAX flying, you still pick the low performers to get rid of to reallocate.
I will just be sad there's not as many AS flights to save your butt nonreving out of DAL (in first class usually no less) while WN is full.
All this talk about DFW-HEL...I would love to see DFW to Scandinavia. Is HEL really better than CPH/ARN/OSL? I love the CPH airport but wasn't too impressed by the others. But I'll still be happy with HEL, lots of good roller coasters in that part of the worldJump to post

Will Boeing keep the 737-800 in production longer to address plane shortages at airlines affected by the 737 MAX grounding? There is a market for some additional 737-800's at airlines such as WN who are facing plane shortages resulting from the 737 MAX grounding until the 737 MAX safety issues are ...Jump to post

You could leave Dallas at 1-2am and arrive in Tokyo at 4-5am. This allows people to connect into DFW all day (including late flights after work) and people to connect out of Tokyo on the early bank of flights. Not to mention it's a lot easier to sleep overnight vs an awful boring 11am-3pm day time ...Jump to post
Really wish DFW had a midnight-ish departure to NRT, HKG, TPE, or ICN. I love going to Asia but hate having to take a day off work to catch a 10am flight. That's a weird objection, since those are all 13-16 hour flights, so you're just taking the next day off of work, instead.... Besides, local arr...Jump to post
If flying in coach then by all means take WN. Even if the price is higher. You will get free checked bags, snacks, drinks, seats with decent legroom, a restroom you don't have to squueze into, and employees who don't hate the passengers. You are mostly right about WN (as a WN fan boy) but to be fai...Jump to post

WN definitely has safety cards that refer to both models. WN does NOT have safety information cards as "737-800/737-MAX8"... 737-800 safety information cards are a darker grey with yellow lettering. MAX8 safety information cards are lighter silver with blue lettering. You're correct, the ...Jump to post
Doesn't the entire MAX fleet have to undergo mods for the software change before entering service again? Since the MAX7 is a completely new aircraft that hasn't been put into service I'm gonna guess maybe it can get introduced before the MAX8 gets the ok to fly again. Long speculation Is that the f...Jump to post

I've had four go arounds on commercial aircraft in my life. All uneventful. MEM-ATL MD-88: Windshear alert a few moments before landing. Diverted to AGS. Looking to visit CPT from May 2-6. Is this quiet time for tourism or will flights be busy? May is the quietest month for international arrivals in Cape Town and the weather will still be decent. Why are there multiple posts talking about non-revs? Has nothing to do with adding service lol. Besides, I feel bad for people who try to get on and suffer on that 10 across 77W anyways.
