Re: AA sues DL over the use of the term “Flagship”

AA is hoping the courts can provide them a win aganist Delta this year....Because Delta has been taking AA to the woodshed for years... both in terms of operation and financial.

Re: Senior FA sues DL for wrongful termination

There’s always more to these stories than meets the eye. I don’t know her nor have I ever flown with her, BUT, the word on the street (or galley) is that she was notorious for allegedly taking things off the aircraft and no one wanted to fly with her because of it. My understanding is that Delta of...

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

The pilots got 20%. Non-union recieved 3%-5% per year depending when they were hired. I never said they didn’t get a raise. Stop putting words into my posts. https://onemileatatime.com/delta-pilot-pay-raise/ Cockpit Delta Pilots Are Getting A 30%+ Pay Raise DECEMBER 1, 2016 BY BEN (LUCKY) 23 DELTA,...

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

Apples and oranges. So why did ALL the other employees get the same percentage excepts the pilots who got way more, earlier and more? And then why did the pilots get another 40% raise in the next contract while the rest got barely nothing? And the autopilot flies the plane more than the pilots. I c...

Really FA's are not needed to fly an airplane. Can happen any day as long as there are fewer than 19 passengers...just the facts please. Planes will and do take off every day without FA's.

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

The 14% raise and return to "old" PS formula didn't take place at the same time. They talk about it in the article you linked above. OK, I see we need to be really, really precise for some folks, so here it is: Three announcements bundled together in a single news release, with varying ef...

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

Then why did the pilots keep their high percentage of profit sharing when Delta arbitrarily cut the non-union? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the pilots have their percentage cut and only reinstated when they threw a fit? That's what I seem to remember, although I'll gladly stand corrected if ...

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

You are right! Meant to say AFA. What about Delta pilots though. Are they not in their right mind for being unionized? I'm a Delta Pilot and ALPA generally only serves ALPA Nationals interest. There isn't a work rule they haven't tried to sell or convert to pay....why, because they get paid 1.9% of...

Re: LATAM counterattacks AA: LIM-MIA goes 21x weekly

While MIA-LIM is a huge market in its own right I do expect that once the LATAM and DL partnership goes into effect some of LATAM's capacity will shift from MIA to ATL. MIA will be primarily O/D market (which is massive) for LATAM going forward as opposed to a mix of O/D and connecting traffic. In ...

Re: AFA trying to unionize FAs at Delta

A plane can’t take without the required number of FAs either. Sure it can. It can takeoff with up to 19 passengers without any FA's (part 135) and non-recs for 121. Piots on the other hand? Everyone comparing Delta FA's to Delta pilots pay etc. needs to stop, Apples and Oranges. Delta Fa's pay need...

Re: On Their Own, Delta Provides Charter Flight to 'Stranded' Cross-Country Team

If only Delta did this for their passengers too. No kidding. Delta cancelled 24 Connection and 3 mainline flights yesterday. Where were the rescue flights for those passengers? If I were a loyal DL customer on one of these 24 flights I’d be pretty ticked off that DL will rescue stranded Frontier pa...

Re: DL retiring MD-80s quickly

Take it for what it's worth, but an A&P who works for TechOps told me at a career fair in the last couple weeks that the rumor is DL may hold onto a few MD-88s for smaller charter ops (college teams) much as they did with the subfleet of 757s. Any truth to that? I highly doubt it. Between the m...

Re: DL's new A359s from LATAM

If DL wanted the 787, they would've ordered it already. It would appear they've put all of their large widebody eggs in the A350/330neo basket going forward. You really think Delta is going to put all their widebody orders into 2 airframes? There are 56 767's and 10 777's (not including the 8 LR's)...

Now that Delta's plan to acquire LA's A350s (14 total) has been made clear. Let's discuss... 1 - Delta will take 4 existing LA A359s. I assume Delta will refit those frames with Delta products since LA's A359's seating is pretty drastically different from DL's, especially in the business class cabi...

If Doug Parker wanted to play hardball he would negotiate fifth freedom rights and do their own flying.
