On another topic, has anyone arrived/departed FAT at night and noticed the 25 strange blue roadway lights in front of the terminal?
Not sure what their purpose is, as they don't shed any meaningful lumens on the roadway. Hazardous for people crossing the

re warehouses, now Amazon is starting a new 4 Million SF warehouse adjacent to Chino (CA) airport, which will be on 93 acres.
Largest Amazon warehouse in the world.
Unknown if it will use that airport (7,000' runway) or truck stuff up to ONT. (7 miles away)

IMHO, a UA museum should be in a) a fair weather location to allow year-round outside displays, and b) a location with a lot of active and retired UA tech employees to work and volunteer on museum projects. UA flew a 727-200 LAX-SMO-LAX for about a 4 hour layover in the late 60's as part of
a SMO mini airshow. It was setup as a promo for an employee-based sales program
called ESP. FA's, pilots and other LAX employees handed out literature and had a
walkthru utilizing the airstairs and a front stand.

anyone know where the old UA hangar is going to be moved to and who currently owns it? One of the T-1 rebuild docs said it can't be demolished as it's historic, and said it would be moved to the north side, maybe by the GA area or the cargo area.

OK, re other airports...NKX is really the only feasible alternate. As SANAQV8R pointed out, North Island wouldn't work, due to access (3 lane bridge) and the size of the Navy operation. The GE/Pan Am -121 made it's final flight November, 2018 from VCV to DMA (Davis-Monthan) for the Pima Museum. Not sure of its
status, as it isn't shown on Pima's aircraft list. GE now doing testing with a -400.

I'm wondering if the U.S. will impose tariffs on China services, as well as goods? I'm thinking aircraft maintenance, done in China, for U.S. Carriers, at places like HKG and XMN. Like goods, if services were tariffed, then it could mean more U.S. jobs, i.e. aircraft maintenance. Any thoughts on this?
