This move would make perfect sense if the end up buying Condor, which is a strong brand in the vacation market and could add some EW destinations to their portfolio. Would be nice to see them in RSW for example. Keeping EW in the shorthaul LCC market makes sense as it had the potential to interfere ...Jump to post
My first flight was with LTU (later taken over by Air Berlin) so that is a bit of a double-defunct airline. I don't recall much of my first flight but according to my mom I was very impressed by the whole airport scenery. I have good memory of Air Berlin as I've taken them multiple times on charter ...Jump to post
As I like these kind of statistics and comparisons my question to you is: What are the longest and shortest flights you've taken so far in both duration and (grand circle) distance? Mine are as follows Duration: TK ISL-LAX 77W 13:00 AA RSW-MIA E175L 0:30 Distance: TK ISL-LAX 77W 11,046km AA RSW-MIA ...Jump to post
Fabulous trip report!
Now I'm even more excited for my 3 upcoming Motor Sich flights in July. I'm doing LWO-IEV-ODS and ODS-IEV and hope for a nice variety of airliners.
I'm seriously wondering why you didn't contact Thai Airways about it right after booking the flight and waited till short before the actual flight. There's designated ground staff who will accompany UMs and the crew also has at least one designated flight attendant who will look that everything is o...Jump to post
As long as destinations like DXB, BEY, CAI, KWI etc can be served in a codeshare agreement with BA, AF/KL and LH there's absolutely no reason to operate there. For some destinations safety issues might also be a matter but mostly it'll be economic reasons why a non-stop service to any destination th...Jump to post
In Germany you're having some good spots at CGN (free), DUS (small fee), FRA T2 (small fee), HAM and TXL. I wish FRA would reopen the terrace at T1 where I was as a kid/teenager.
The one at MLA is also very nice and you have a view over the entire tarmac and the runway
This has absolutely nothing to do with the actual purpose of a safety video: informing passengers about safety. I absolutely loved their Lord of the Rings safety video and I definitely think that it helps to get the attention of passengers but a pathetic rap song where English speakers barely unders...Jump to post
I'm happily taking an old 744 over any 787.
Fly them as long as they're still around.
Are we going to see most 744 routes become 35K routes or will there be a mixture of 789 and 35K that take over?
The 747 is a visual beauty and a great ride. Even though I had a BA 744 with the very old interior recently I thoroughly enjoyed the flight.
Another contender would be the Avro aka Jumbolino which I could only enjoy once but it was a memorable pleasant experience.
Without knowing your nationality, I'm 99% certain that you're American. I always find it fascinating how isolated the American point of view can be and that so much outside US territory is regarded as threatening. I know that it is the way you are brought up and I'm not blaming anyone personally but...Jump to post
Trump manages to destabilize core US industries, something that neither China nor Russia (Soviet Union included) ever achieved. All Chinese airlines are controlled by the Chinese government there's even more than just economic factors that will drive them away from buying Boeing.Jump to post

It's no surprise really. Did anyone seriously believe that this airport would still get finished. It's a complete disaster and people just don't dare to admit it and stop the it. They rather burn millions and millions of euros which is even more outrageous. Give the contract to a Chinese airport con...Jump to post

Ordering the Max was a mistake in the first place.
They should have gone for the 320 family with its different variations which would have also made it more practical to replace the 752 with 321 in the future and have a homogenous fleet
They should fly to BUD and cooperate with Wizzair but even that would be hardJump to post
Lufthansa and Eurowings have such a blind booking option within Europe
Destinations are in different categories that you can pick
Quite unbelievable that this is the airline that had tons of money at it's hands some time ago and managed to burn it in an incredible speed and now needs to cut its service levelJump to post
I'm sure W5 is happy that they can use their unused aircrafts again but I'm sure if Venezuelan allies want to transport something there they'll do that with or without W5 as we've seen with the Russian air force and Nordwind flights recentlyJump to post
I've also got an SSSS last year for a FRA-DFW flight with AA. There were dozens of people that had to go to the second security check area which was right in front of our gate. Most passengers were younger (20-30 I would guess) and there was even a young couple with a toddler that had to go through ...Jump to post

Some time ago I discovered the blind booking option from Lufthansa and Eurowings were you can book return flights for a pretty good price. You can only select a certain destination category and for a surcharge you can make some rough adjustments like a time frame for departure but your actual destin...Jump to post
I only have positive (childhood) memories flying them to vacation destinations.
The Condor brand is very well known in Germany and probably the most recognized and trusted airline after Lufthansa.
There's absolutely zero worries I'd have flying with them.
I've just had a very odd conversation with the Delta customer service on Twitter concerning a damaged bag that my mom reported to the DL agent right after her arrival at RSW. After we got notified to purchase a comparable bag and send the receipt to DL, I was now told that AF would take care of all ...Jump to post

Of course there's a difference between decent and shabby clothes but as long as the clothes are clean and you're friendly I haven't really noticed any difference and no actual judgement. Funnily, I've seen passengers in business class in the most unbelievably shabby outfits and I guess that they're ...Jump to post
