Re: Cleveland Aviation Thread - 2019

UO has an aviation news and CLE thread, and a-net is usually the best source to get CLE/av-related news. Would’ve loved to be at that concert (Animals is the best PF album imo) but I’m sure the low pass scared the shit out of the crowd of ~100K. Burke takeoff, I’d guess. Animals is my favorite albu...

Looks like jetBlue is using an A321 on BDL-RSW and BDL-PBI. This is the first time I have seen B6 run an A321 BDL-RSW. Also, looks like Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday get an additional A320 BDL-PBI, I don't recall them running a 2nd flight on this route. Looks like SJU is down to 1x daily this week, ...

BDL's June numbers took a step back with big loses by WN and UA however overall the airport still saw positive growth. This must be the first month WN hasn't been #1 or #2 at BDL since the early 2000's.

Aer Lingus posted one of their best months with close to a 95% load factor in June.

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

Just noticed this week BDL-DTW on Delta is 3x 717, 1x 319, 1x 320. I don't remember Delta ever having 5x daily on this route, at least in a while if ever. Next week it goes down to 3x daily around the 4th but then goes back to 5x daily the following week. Does anyone know how many banks DL has at MS...

Re: Qatar Airways named Skytrax airline of the year

Only on a select few routes. Does AA offer lie-flat on routes like BDL-LAX? What about UA on EWR-PDX? If you want to cherry pick a select few AA, UA and DL routes with lie-flat, then I can do the same for LH, which offers lie-flat seats on some 5 hour flights like FRA-JED and KWI. BDL-LAX is on a 7...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

I am partially based in BDL for a few months due to work, here are a few observations/questions I have: 1. What happened to the BDL-SFO flight? I could have sworn UA offered that route, was trying to fly it in a couple weeks but instead I have to connect in MSP & CLT 2. A bit surprised to see t...

BDL-PHL will have the same frequency as HVN-PHL this winter, something has got to be off. I would think if AA goes down to 3x daily BDL-PHL all flights would be mainline, AA has been putting more mainline on this route for the past couple of years.

[threeid][threeid][/threeid][/threeid] AA is upgauging HVN flights to PHL and CLT with all E-175's starting 9-4-2019. Hoping for DL to start flights to DTW. By October 3rd their back to 3x CRJ. May be just a place holder for now but something is going on with the PHL hub as BDL drops down to 3x dail...

Re: How many United routes were shifted from IAD to EWR?

Within the last 2 years BDL-EWR has completely ceased in favor of BDL-IAD. Of which BDL-EWR was all on ERJ or Q400 and now has some mainline to IAD. Post Merger with UA/CO, IAD-EZE went to EWR can was canned from IAD on a 3-Class 763, then it was dropped and brought back within the last few years f...

Not sure on AA but TWA did have a STL-BDL-PWM-BDL-STL route in the late 90's to early 2000's.

With respect to DAB... it’s stuck in the middle... between JAX (the fastest-growing airport in North America) and SFB where G4, having sorted out their fleet issues, is growing as well. JAX grew quite a bit from 2017 to 2018 and continues double digit growth into 2019 however will it last? Just a c...
