Re: TAP schedules first non stop A321LR service between Europa and South America

If I remember correctly TP dropped VCP way before AD started flying the route. If I remember correctly, both were serving this route at some point. This route was handed over to Azul once TAP sent back the two A332 that they borrowed from them for TP's US operations. You are both wrong. TAP dropped...

Yes, definitely.
I've heard rumors that João Pessoa (JPA) and Maceió (MCZ) are in the pipeline.
And I would guess that São Luís (SLZ) would be likely too.

Re: TAP Portugal has fewer passengers in Q1 2019 in a booming Portuguese market

The OP's basic logic is essentially flawed. Today TAP has released new pax numbers showing that they have flown 4.9M pax up to date, which is 100K or 2% more than the same period of last year. At a point where they have only started 3 of the planned new routes: DUD, BSL and TLV. Most will start only...

TAP has already seen investment from HNA and BOC for its fleet renewal. TAP Air Portugal will feature a cabin with 16 J full-flat seats in a staggered configuration (similar to Aer Lingus) and only 152 Y recliner seats, which is among the lowest seat counts foreseen for the LR. It sounds quite reasonable given that TAP will be using these LR mostly on TATL routes. https...
