In the book Sully he talked about US Airways having trouble with this back in 2005 because gate agents are evaluated on on time departures so they do not want to spend the extra time to board standbys. They had later made it policy that if seats were available for standby than they had to be used. T...
Jump to postHello Everyone,
I know United operates quite a few of these birds and was wondering what the status was on them. I know they are due to receive slimline seats and possibly scimitars this year.
So I was trying to find some information of Frontier Airline's A319 NEO's they had on order but had little to no luck so I thought i would ask here: 1. With the A319's being slowly phased out when will we start seeing deliveries of these new birds? 2. Will these birds take over previous a 319 routes...
Jump to postI know Horizon was planning on debuting the new Alaska livery on their aircraft awhile. Does anyone have any information on when we will see the first Horizon Q400 in the new Alaska colors.
Jump to postRight now it depends but the mid-day STL-DSM flight is an -800
Jump to postDSM is my home airport and if anything Southwest has been growing pretty great recently! We rarely see anymore 737-300's and the 737-800's are about to take over 80% of the flights in and out of DSM. I honestly would not be surprised to see Southwest add another route or two out of DSM in the next y...
Jump to postSo I have been wondering lately if Frontier's A319's will see the new livery? Here in DSM we see all a319 and most of them are at relatively young age it seems like a no brainer.
Jump to postI have been looking at the flight history for N931WN for the past couple weeks and noticed it has not flown since December 29. Does anybody know why Lone Star One is spending so much time in DAL?
Jump to postThe Iowa Hawkeyes flew back tonight on 2 Miami Air 738'. They landed in CID around 9pm.
Jump to postLooks amazing. I think this aircraft represents this livery perfectly!
Jump to postDSM is my home airport and I am very excited about this news. I expect to see a growth further in passengers. I would love to see AS come in with E175 and maybe even a 737! I cannot wait to see what this airport holds in the future. You can see some of my photos from DSM on instagram @dsm_spotter
Jump to postI do not see DSM leaving any time soon. The LAS flights are almost always full and the STL flights are picking up. All 4 of my flights between STL and DSM this summer were full.
Jump to postGreat Trip Report! I don't know about everyone else but I really liked the overheads with the small screens. I hope this is something that Delta adopts.
Jump to postWN just tweeted a photo showing their new Lone Star One Livery on a 737-700! It looks AMAZING!

Hello All, Tonight I had my first flight lesson in a Cessna 172 and absolutely loved it! The only thing I am concerned about is towards the end of the flight I began to feel sick in my stomach. I almost feel like I had to throw up during landing. I love aviation and flying but if this will happen to...
Jump to postI always love to read your trip reports! Keep up the good work
Jump to postSouthwest uses the same safety card for their 737-700s and their 737-800's. That makes a certain amount of sense. Aside from a few rows more to the exit, the basic layout of the planes are the same. Pretty sure UA uses the same card for the 7, 8 and 9... If the plane in those photos is a 737-800, w...
