Re: Delta Aircraft Refurbishment Thread - 2019

What will the registrations be for the next 321 batch and the 321NEO? https://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/Name_Results.aspx?Nametxt=DELTA+AIR+LINES&sort_option=1&PageNo=1 If I had to guess, they'll probably start with N101DQ. And then any N1xxDx number that isn't already assigned. N5xx...

Anyone know who the A's are using? At one point I believe they were on 5Y but have seen them on DL too.

It looks like they'll be flying DL8876 (B752 - N666DN) to Kansas City (MKC) today for their series against the Royals. I don't know if that's their typical flight number and operator though.

Re: Delta Aircraft Refurbishment Thread - 2019

I assume it was due for paint and Delta wanted it in the regular livery. Relatedly, I wonder if they're going to put an A321 or CS100 in the SkyTeam livery. I saw 3711 (N381DN, the 738 in SkyTeam colors) today and it could definitely use a fresh paint job. I doubt whether any A319/320/321 or CS100 ...

Re: AA Fleet Updates - 2018

3rd A-319 from Frontier scheduled to fly TPA-ROW for new paint. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/JTN8188/history/20181130/1200Z/KTPA/KROW Looks like it will be registered N778XF for AA. Formerly N951FR with F9. Anybody heard the new registry numbers for the other two A319s, formerly N922FR and N...

Re: Boeing 737MAX Production/Delivery Thread 2018

My apologies if this has been talked about before elsewhere, but does anyone have insight on the reason for the last letter that Southwest chooses for their registrations? The group in the most recent post above seem to all be near each other (H,J,L,M) in the alphabet, and most of their MAX registr...

Packers beat writer reporting that they'll use two planes this season. In the past they were on DL A330s, I believe. https://twitter.com/RobDemovsky/status/1032285089995149312 It appears they're using a Delta 739 (DL8869) and 752 (DL8868). https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/dl8869 https://w...

Re: Delta Aircraft Refurbishment - 2018

What is with all these odd anti-MD comments? Most -88 legs are about an hour these days. Does an avgeek really need to stare at the PTV for a 50-minute flight rather than look out the window? Plus, the -88 seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room on the airplane. Now I get it that when the...

Re: Delta Aircraft Refurbishment - 2018

Interesting. They usually just ferry the new planes from MCI to ATL or MSP where they then start passenger flights, but this time 3055 made the return flight that 9265 had made the night before.

Air Lease Corp Writes Off 2 Boeing 737-800?

In a 4th quarter of 2017 activity update posted yesterday on ALC's website, one of the items mentioned is "received insurance proceeds related to the insured loss of 2 Boeing 737-800 aircraft." It doesn't mention what specific aircraft or what happened. Does anyone have any insight on this...

Re: 2017 NFL Charters (Airlines/Flight Numbers)

Philadelphia used AA9475 for their flights to and from Kansas City last weekend. It was an A332. Curiously, the plane (N290AY) left after it dropped them off and went to Charlotte only for the same plane to come back the next day. Maybe American took the opportunity to do some light overnight mainte...

New TSA rule about taking paper products and food out of bags for screening?

I caught a quick segment on my local news tonight about people at Kansas City International being asked to take all paper products and food out of their baggage to go through security. I did some searching on social media and found people talking about experiencing it and what the TSA agents told th...

Re: MLB All Star Game charters

I'm sure that is the Royals charter even though the number and plane size don't match the usual ones. There's no other reason I can think of for a United plane to be at that airport and flying that route.
