Re: WN Practices Sustainable?

WN has some smart and bright people working for them. I wouldn't worry too much as to how they conduct business. They have proven they can weather just about anything and I think their long-term future looks promising.

Re: How was WN able to grow in DEN so quickly?

I'm hearing COS was supposed to be WN's initial entry into Colorado, but they got into a dispute with the city regarding road access and went to DEN instead. Anyone know this history?

Re: Denver Aviation Thread - 2019

Is there anything noteworthy going on these days at any of the other main Denver airports? APA BJC FTG? From what I understand, APA and FTG are prohibited from commercial operations. However, as someone who works at BJC, I know the airport director is actively pursuing airlines to serve a handful o...

With the government contracts Boeing has, including the new AF1, could it be possible the US Governement, or Boeing themselves specifically asked Google to remove the aircraft to prevent the public from being exposed to sensitive information?

Re: FAA Makes Staffing Policy Changes After Vegas Controller Found Incapacitated

Not enough job candidates There are plenty of candidates. Public ATC bids bring in tens of thousands of applicants. The problem is systemic *rant warning* We'll assume for a moment the FAA has a hiring goal of 1,700 applicants for FY19 (made up number). They may "hire" exactly this number...

Acting like nothing is wrong is what we do. It's an unfortunate part of the job. We just have to keep working.

Re: AA adding DFW-CYS (Cheyenne, WY) and Sat CLT-HVN on 11/4

DFW-CYS could work well for AA. The population in Northern Colorado has exploded since 2010-11 and it's taking longer and longer to drive to DEN from Fort Collins, Greeley, and other points north. Why fight traffic to and from DEN when CYS is right up the road and you don't have to go to battle on I...

Western Global Airlines

I was at work this evening, looked on the radar scope, and saw an airline called Western Global inbound to a local military base and got curious. Looking it up, I discovered the callsign pertains to a "Western Global Airlines" based in Estero, FL. Doing a quick Wiki search (I know I know),...

I work at BJC. The tower opens at 6 AM and driving in this morning, I counted no less than 5 aircraft in the run-up area, and several more getting ready to taxi out, before the tower even opened. That doesn't happen at this airport on a normal Monday morning. We had a dozen IFR clearances in the bay...

You're never going to get people coming from Loveland, Longmont or Greely going to Cheyenne. It's equidistant or closer to go to DEN and unless you are planning on going to whatever hub that is (ORD, DFW, SLC, LAX etc), then you're going to have to connect vs. potential non-stops from Denver. That,...

Great Lakes currently serves as the only airline, with service to Denver. Been up there a few times. It's a nice, quiet little airport. Ok but why woudn't DL or AA fly to the other airports they have their connections at LAX?PHX/SLC. woudn't it be more preferable for business travellers? Those airports don't have the infrastructure to support any serious flying. Neither have TSA, they don't have rental car facilities, and they are ...
