Re: Skywest Pilot Line Schedule

Originally pilots flew under both UA/DL branded flying during a multi day trip. But maybe 4-5 years ago, delays on the United side of the operation was causing crew delays on the delta side (crews timing out and rest issues, etc). So delta said no more, and if you start on a delta trip you finish on ...

Here is from the latest “System Chief Pilot Update”: Here are some of the FAQs from our visits: What new routes are we adding? Ontario and Burlington begin on September 5, 2018 and we continue to look for future routes to enhance the network. How is ETOPS certification progressing? We are currently ...

Re: “Someday jetBlue will be in Europe”

And just like the current Mint flights, Jetblue wants to go after the business fares. Quoting from the article: “We also think that the premium market in Europe is interesting — a market that’s potentially ripe for some disruption.” And “The opportunity is to address the obscene fares that customers...

Re: Future CSeries Orders (Post Airbus-Bombardier deal)

The potential of a Jetblue CSeries like the CS100 and even the CS300 order would allow to still operate at the current E190 airports that have short runways that the A320/A321 can’t operate at, yet the CS100/300 can potentially do transcons to new or existing destinations that don’t warrant a 320/32...

Re: Delta to axe NRT-GUM

Might be mistaken, but aren't many of the NRT-SIN/MNL and other intra Asia routes have heavy cargo demand and the pax traffic just supplementary to the demand for cargo. So if cargo demand is down, then Delta has reason to stop the routes and transfer them to their various JVs in the region?

Well.... if the goal is to increase intl flying like the rumored entry into Europe, an increase in gates that had access to customs vs parking at T4 would be a plus. Also with partners Emirates, Icelandair, and others, they too could park in an expanded terminal that had easy access to the JetBlue o...

When the now ex JetBlue CFO and many executives in many ways brag about the highest utilization of the A320/321 vs any airline in the world, and the high success of the Mint product, yes I personally feel that we should be up near the compensation as the legacies. JetBlue would add another flight to the DR vs flying to Canada. The profits per flight going to the DR and the demand is too high vs risking going into a new market with high costs.
