Re: Flair Airlines Fleet and Network - 2024

Looks like Flair won't be getting the Lynx leases, the latest lynx court report says the lessors won't consent to assignment of those leases, so any deal for those planes will have to be with the lessors under under terms. http://cfcanada.fticonsulting.com/lynxair/docs/Affidavit%20of%20Michael%20Woo...

Re: Air Canada News and Discussion - 2024

I wonder if AC wouldn't make more money launching say YYZ-LOS, considering UA flies to West Africa themselves? AFAIK, YYZ-LOS and YUL-DSS are the only African routes that featured on AC's investor day and conference route maps. I'm not sure ACC or ABJ have formally been considered, though realistic...

Re: Flair Airlines Fleet and Network - 2024

I don’t think Flair will ever grow its fleet again. 20 will be it. Don’t forget, don’t they need to stump up $4-5m in import taxes for very new aircraft they bring in. I think this is why they want those Lynx frames, I don't think they will be subject to import taxes. I'm not sure how it would work...
