Re: External differences between ex-UA and ex-TWA 762s

Good call on the ACRU and its inlet door on the right side of the fuselage…. And what a disaster that ACRU was….. As for nose gear lighting, taxi light is an option which the United jet does not have. Another difference on the nose would be the optional ice detector(s). There may be zero, one, or tw...

RE: Debunking The 767-400ER High Casm Myth

So we're all in agreement that the 764 has a low CASM, and the idea that it has a high CASM is a myth How about these questions: Truth or myth? 1. The 764 has the correct engines? Myth 2. The 764 has enough payload capacity and MTOW? Myth 3. The 764 needed a different EFIS/EICAS system from the 1800...

I'm digging deep into the memory banks now, but I think Delta was the launch customer for the MD90, with 50 orders and 50 options. At approximately the same time, they had also ordered brand new 733 with the glass cockpit. Up to that time, all the 733's were ex Western. But that was when the long pa...

On the subject of which non-ER 763's remain in service and which don't, last I checked it looked like this: 116 thru 120 and 122 were out of service, with 116 - 119 apparently going to Hawaiian 121 and 123 thru 139 along with 1401 - 1404 were still in service. So that's 6 gone and 22 remaining.
