Didn't Airbus or Boeing "invest" in this company? Demo will fly this year......Interesting. Have you seen what the demo actually is though compared to what they actually want to build? Anyway, best of luck to them. That's the definition of demo otherwise it's called prototype. they have t...
Jump to postWow, amazing. I was born on October 15, 1985.
Jump to posthas BOOM stated the jet's official flying range capability? any indications? Will the jet be allowed to operate out of LCY? As far as the demand for 2000 jets go, some key 'business airport markets" dont have the enough slots available to enable an expansion of services. These include HKG, SIN...
Jump to post“This is not a private jet for the ultra-wealthy.” Um, yes it is, only the ludicrously wealthy can afford 4,000 GBP (US$5,214) plane tickets... What company pays for business class tickets anymore? This guy is way out of touch, he's competing with chartered jets, not other commercial airlines. Most...
Jump to postPeople have spoken? About what? The Price? The apartment of Etihad is even mor expensive. Supersonic will be the new future. Boom Supersonic is one possibility and I wich them the best
Jump to postI live in Dayton, OH, I've said it all. I wanted to fly JetBlue since forever but midwest is not really well served. Ugh
Jump to postThanks for taking picture of my Beautiful country and yes, in two weeks you've seen a lot!! I'm Italian and I moved in Dayton-OH almost 3 years ago and I miss my country everyday. I'm lucky though to go back and visit at least once a year. I'm getting married in Venice with my American partner, and ...
Jump to postI just looked around to find the answer. Great news that IAH is the future destination!!! Finally to go back to Europe I can try to fly the A380 Lufthansa from IAH to FRA!!!!!
Do we know already the starting day and the frequency?
Without consider exotic destinations, I fly every now and then Dayton-Chicago. The flight can be as short as 42 minutes, the drive (considering traffic) can be 5 to 6 hours.
Another similar route was Zurich-Munich
HimalayanFlyer wrote:I don't understand why Italy doesn't have Starbucks
I think Starbucks would be considered a crime against coffee in Italy! Not that many European countries aside from the UK have many Starbucks, too many local competitors I guess.
This trip report will make history on airliners.net
Excellent!! I was born in October 1985 and I flew in 1996 for the first time so I didn't see any of those airplane flying.
I've always dreamed to go there, pity SWA is leaving Dayton for CVG
Jump to postthere were some rumors about the interest of Lufthansa in Alitalia but this morning the rumors were stopped by Lufthansa CFO. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-lufthansa-results-alitalia-idUSKBN17T0ZZ I don't find it strange at all, I wonder if Air France - KLM would have more chances but I doubt it...

Jump to postAs Italian I'm very sorry to see what's happening but, in my opinion, this should have happened years ago. Alitalia was subjected to bad management and stupid decisions. Where Etihad arrived I thought this might have helped Alitalia even though it sounded to me a lot like SWISS operation, and we all...
Jump to postWell that's what I call a trip report!!! And for a unique cause I'd say! Jump to postIn my opinion Alitalia won't change massively its livery. Jump to postprobably it has been discussed before, but is there any reason why BA haven't bought the 748i? Their 747 are aging and neither the 777 (or future A350) nor the A380 will compensate their lack in 10-15 years time.

I bet that if Etihad buys the 49% of Alitalia, VCE will be added as well
