RE: New Strike Of AF Pilots To Restore Balance With KL

The whole concept of 'restoring balance' in a dynamic environment is idiotic, where all things change, all the time. It completely misunderstands the competitive environment in which AF operates. The idea is based on nostalgia and a misplaced sense of entitlemen...

RE: KLM Defers 787 Deliveries And Start Of New Routes

It's at least partially a tactic to pressure the unions and directly link their stance with KLM's operations. AF/KL's productivity must improve to have any chance of competing. Surely the unions are a drag to productivity improvements, even though their represen...

Except that Abu Dhabi - Bahrain is not flown with a 777, it's a mixed A332/333 flight, at least this season. Xiamen should not surprise, its load factors are low, probably too low for a more expensive 777. And a 777 for Cairo also sounds like 'too much' airplane for the short distance. Actually, the...

It's a nice idea to make subtle adjustments to your livery and make planes look as beautiful as they can. I wonder how many variations they could have without losing too much brand uniformity.

This change also makes it look hipper and younger, which is probably what they wanted to achieve.

I think it is an interesting move to charge for bags, one that should be mandatory for all airlines all over the world. The tail reminds of one of the liveries of Capitol Air, it had a dollar sign in it, it was horrendous (Sky$aver, or something like that).
