Looks like AA's newest A321NEOs are readying for delivery. Acft N413AN has had one test flight at Hamburg, and acft N418AN has had three test flights at Mobile.

They have 15 A332 and 9 A333. The A333 are retired I mixed my numbers up. Still no point in keeping a fleet of 15 around and doesn't change the fact that at the end of Monday, all A330s will be parked in the desert. A333 is official, A332 will become official soon. It appears that the A330-200s are going as well. Last one heads to the desert tomorrow for storage. No point in keeping 9 aircraft that don't fit with anything else. They have 15 A332 and 9 A333. Two A332s returning from El Salvador. N284AY on AAL9608 to ELP, then I'd assume to ROW and N291AY on AAL9606 to PHL. Not sure why 291 is going to PHL instead of ROW.

All of AA's E190 acft are now at or on their way to ROW from PIT. Aircraft N967UW on AAL9605 and N961UW on AAL9606.
All of AA's A330 acft at PIT have been moved to ROW, with A332 N285AY enroute on AAL9608. Three A330s still at El Salvador.

AA's A332, N281AY is enroute PIT to ROW on AAL9607, currently, 4-20. That leaves just N285AY at PIT, and N284AY and N291AY at El Salvator in maint.

Earlier today, E190, N965UW was flown to ROW. Two remaining E190 aircraft, N963UW and N967UW, in PIT.

76 older 738s are being retired, presumably some will be replaced by the 24 737 Max 8s that are grounded, whenever they are fixed and ready to fly.


Plus, Boeing has 13 737 Max 8s ready, or nearly ready, for delivery once the grounding is lifted.

Without knowing all the factors that go into AA's decision to park aircraft at ROW, I think it's presumptuous for any of us to assume the A332s have finished their service with AA. How much longer are the A332s hanging around? I know they aren’t supposed to leave anytime soon but now they are a slight oddball in the fleet. AA's fleet of fifteen A330-200s range from 6 yrs to 11 yrs in age, kind of young to retire. My theory is, AA is going to park them until they see how quick...

AA still has two A330-300s, N272AY and N274AY, undergoing heavy maintenance in San Salvador. Wondering if they will be moved directly to ROW upon completion of that work. And of course, one A330-300, N270AY was parked at PIT on 3-18.
