Supermarine bought Rifton's operation, which was owned by a local religious sect, the Hutterian Bretheren. One of my former employees was a manager for Rifton. Large hangar and FBO operation.

They would be better off going somewhere on the other side of Florida for the winter. Lots of people here go to Fort Meyers, Naples and other points south of Tampa for the winter.

Stewart was the firsrt AFB to be BRAC'd in 1969 because the AF needed the '57s for Vietnam. I wonder if the one in the picture from 1975 was my friend's dad's plane? Thanks for the reminders of the daily airshow we used to have.
