So today is another poor day for Westjet. Toronto cancelled , others delayed by hours. They really need to get sorted , being not used to the EU rules they will be hammered by massive costs. I understood that they have a standby plane so , the operation department in Calgary needs to up its game bef...Jump to post
Reading some of the complaints about Westjet it seems that the high useage of the 767 fleet means cancellations . I have noted some delays and some cancellations this month and more worrying is the lack of staff at Gatwick able to sort the problem. Maybe they need a couple of Actual Westjet Employee...Jump to post
I have to say as an English traveller I would not like to be looked down on because I do not speak French so will avoid the French speaking areas of Canada on my trips.. I am not inferior just because I speak a different language. So tourism looses out and not just from me. Maybe the influence makes...Jump to post
How about what we did, the regional bus ( special ticket is cheap and includes Amsterdam services as well) Go to the town of Marken, take ferry to Volendam, visit Cheese and clog factory en route back to Amsterdam. So the US crews do not like the way this airline is constructed and feel it is unfair competition. The UK had an airline that was originally all UK then became half Singaporean and now is owned by a US company who is ravaging the service and routes. There is no harm in competition and that is what t...Jump to post
Just read and not sure it is on here but cannot find it.Passengers on a Jet2 flight from Malaga staged a walk off when a passenger who had been removed from the flight for " unusual" behaviour was allowed to return to his seat. 30 passengers decided not to fly back to Manchester when the passenger r...Jump to post
One small thing.. I understand there were 5 no shows.Did all the bags get taken off? Have all the missing customers been identified and all the bags been screened? I must say that Buy on Board is fine for real short haul. However when you have a 6 hrs plus flight then you actually are 9 hours or more from available eating . If they want to offer BOB then maybe they need to graduate the offers depending on the flight duration. Standard up to 2 hours More choice...Jump to post

That just shows that, even a busy airline can lose money in the summer and then, for the UK winter is a graveyard. It is really sad and I feel for the staff who, no doubt, worked thier.... off in the summjer. with the expectation of a little respite during the winter period. Also , judging from the ...Jump to post
Yes I thought it was better to book, in fact looking at Seat Guru there are some not so good ones even in that section. Just booked some flights with Delta from Manchester and have ^upgraded^ to Comfort seats This cost £51 per flight. I know we do not get any extra except for legroom. However as the aircraft fills up then I suspect that some passengers will get the upgrade free when they checkin,as the flight capacit...Jump to post
The worst is when passengers book Birmingham Alabama instead of Birmingham UK and then expect to fly to New York for $400!! They are amazed that they have made a mistake and insist it is not thier fault!! It then means they have to fork out for a full fare ticket to get to the destination they have ...Jump to post
