The rankings of US TV markets show Memphis as #51, behind cities like Birmingham (#43), Norfolk (#44), Oklahoma City (#45), Louisville (#48), Grand Rapids (#49). MSA areas are the metric most often used by airline planning departments. You start by listing DMAs then talk about MSAs being used by pl...

Re: Gulf Shores, AL Planning New Terminal

Why would the legacies move from MOB to BFM? Reading the facility descriptions that F9 uses at BFM it seems highly inadequate. They would have to build a new terminal and concourse facility. That is the plan... a new terminal is going to be built for the legacies at BFM. The current terminal that F...

BFM is running pretty much full to/from DEN according to local news and over eighty percent to/from ORD. This is great for an airport and market that is only 3.5 months old. Looking at F9's winter schedule, it looks like BFM-DEN stays 3x week through March and BFM-ORD goes on seasonal hiatus in mid-...

Re: 737MAX Cancellations, China Southern and others

What’s the fastest timeframe Airbus could build up a new A320 line/ plant from scratch and start spitting up frames? Two years? Three? At this point it must be starting to seem an attractive proposition. I assume their new A220 FAL at BFM will be able to produce A320 frames as well. If that is true...

Thank you for the infographic, CRJ200flyer. So is MOB going to redeveloped when the moving of all ops to BFM is done? Yes, but it will remain an airport. The general thought is that MOB will be primarily for Coast Guard and any air cargo tenants that would like to be there. The airport authority has...

It would be awesome if G4 and NK came here to BFM. Have some doubt about G4 though since they serve GPT, but if they did it would need to be on different days than GPT as they are Wed and Sat only.
