Just another example of feel good politics. In the grand scheme it is a bug splat on the windshield of life. Who cares?

What do you mean "757 so not too difficult". DCA is very easy for 757s. Won't even be breathing hard when it rotates.

Prolly about the time we can get rid of air traffic controllers as they currently operate.

Re: EK theres no hiding parked aeroplanes now

riddle: Who can park countless widebody frames with no routes to fly them and not have to worry about profit? Answer: Government subsidized Emirates Airlines. Now, if anyone still believes Emirates is not receiving billions in subsidies, than I have a bridge to sell you. Is there any evidence to ba...

Re: B787-8 Replacement for B757

I certainly apologize if I offended anyone. I am a very new member and wanted to get the thoughts of the "seasoned veterans". To me, the B788 and the B757 are apples and oranges. Just wanted to get a reading on this article since the 789 is established and the 787-10 is coming quickly.

Re: What is the most iconic route for an aircraft type?

For me it is the old PanAm Flight 1 and 2. JFK-LHR-FRA-IST-BEY-THR-DEL-BKK-HKG-SFO and then reverse. PanAm Flt 1 originated at JFK going East. PanAm Flt 2 originated at SFO going West. Please correct if I missed or incorrectly Id's the stop-overs. I believe they did it with B747s.

Re: B6 removes pax for harassing Ivanka Trump

Probably dating myself but I remember when flying was genteel (elegant or graceful in manner, appearance, or shape; free from vulgarity or rudeness; polite).

Simply amazing at what happens on airliners today. At least they were still at the gate.

I believe it looks great and it sure beats any of the bland U.S airline "retro" paint schemes. At least they have a little imagination and flair.

Re: What did landing at Kai Tak feel like?

It was awesome. I am fortunate to have landed at Kai Tak on two occasions (1 on a DC-10-30 and the other a B-747. It felt like you could reach out and touch the buildings. Both were using the checkerboard approach. The turn to final was great. A very special and unique airport.

This is the first major aircraft incident since I joined the forum. As with the past major aircraft incidents, I continue to be amazed at all of the "Monday morning quarter-backing". A couple of items are firm. The video and ATC audio. Any comments concerning the incident past this is pure...

Not for me. Far too busy and complicated than the previous site. In the previous site, everything was there - nice and compact. This is a step backwards concerning user interface. Gotta give a thumbs down.

Re: Is There An Airline That You Would Never Fly?

Not for me. If was independently wealthy, I would travel to the four corners of the world to fly some of the unique one-off airlines/planes. Especially some of the Russian planes/airlines that fly, for example, IL-76, TU-162, TU-154, IL-18, IL-20, etc.; some of the airlines that fly older B727-100s....
