Re: Large airports without rail links

It's also worth remembering that not all rail connections are created equal. For some, the level of service on the rail line stinks. For others, the connection to and from the airport stinks. And some (like, say, FLL) both are bad (shuttle bus to an infrequent rail line). The best airport/transit l...

Re: Denver: Future International Flights

I do see a DL addition to AMS or CDG. Word is that 7-8 of the new A gates are going to DL in addition to the ones they already have. This will bring them up to 13-14 gates in DEN if the rumor of them getting that many additional gates is true. With an operation that size in Denver, requiring that m...

Re: Southwest Schedule Extension 02/15/18

What’s their gate situation at DEN? Are they tapped out there or do they have room for growth? As with every schedule extension, I hope this is the time they add DSM-DEN. They also just started the seasonal DSM-PHX flight, I’d like to see them extend that to go daily and hopefully year round, but I...

Second largest international market is Canada. My guess is WS to their hub in Calgary in response to F9's recent announcement of Calgary-Denver service.

Re: United relaunches DEN-LHR

BA has traditionally carried a lot of freight on the DEN-LHR route which helps when passenger loads fluctuate.
January 2017 - 369,884 lbs.
December 2016 - 342,971 lbs.
November 2016 - 308,121 lbs.
October 2016 - 421,445 lbs.

Could you imagine WN and EK together. It would create a global airline alliance overnight. And other than the technology challenges WN will have with anyone, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Not sure EK considers WN as a brand they want to associate with. Besides other than LAX not sure EK serves ...

Re: When will the airlines FINALLY show some love for MKE??

I don't think the issue is size of the city. It has to do more with a smaller percentage of business travelers out of MKE. Carriers will save mainline aircraft for markets with more business travelers. MKE is more of a leisure market.

There was no bomb on that incident. A United 747-200 took off from HNL to NRT with an improperly closed cargo door. On climbout, door ripped off and tore a section of the upper fuseloge away. Mainly first and business class was impacted with I belive less than ten deaths. Pilot made a remarkable lan...

Can someone tell me why United has not reinstated Den-Hnl service? They used to run this route in the 80's with DC-10s and DC-8's. Seems to me the 777's could profitably handle this route. I know Continental used to run a DC-10-30 as well when they had a hub in Denver. Also, why would United ax the ...
