Re: United Fleet, Network, and Discussion Thread, Q1 2021

I must have missed something. Earlier in the thread I noted a lot of speculation on the permanent retirement of the 764. Last night I booked UA HNL-EWR r/t in May and to my surprise, both going and return are on a 764. 764's appear to also be flying the IAD/HNL flights. Happy to see them keeping the...

Nice to see such positive results for UA. What bothers me is the constant comparison to DL and the remarks about the gap between them. DL is doing great and it's nice to see that UA is too. I don't believe that it is far fetched to think that Japan will allow this. Both JA with AA and ANA with UA have been operating their JV's for some time. I believe both JA and HA are attempting to shore up their ability to compete in this increasingly competitive and growing market. The advent of Sw...

Re: HiFly takes delivery of first A380

I don't see why it seems odd. For me it makes a lot of economic sense. One Airbus A380 is a whole different story than six A380. With Hifly, VS also does not have to worry about all the additional processes that come along your own A380 fleet (e.g. separate maintenance processes, separate cabin/coc...

Could it have been one of the drafts that LH considered for their recent new livery? The 4 white stripes fit the spacing and slight curvature of the 'wings' on their logo quite well. If this was one of their drafts, I'm glad they didn't choose it! (not that I'm a fan of what LH did choose) Here's a...

HA has been very selective in the markets it has chosen to serve between the mainland U.S. and Hawai'i. Maybe Delta should ship 5-10 717s to Hawai’i. It’d pretty much explode a few heads on this board.
