Curious what you’re insinuating here because the NYPD themselves said they have lots of camera footage. I’m not insinuating anything. If this is true, it is disheartening, and maybe a little frightening. I believe that education is an equalizer without…well, equal. There is no “ETOPS certified assembly”, airframes and components are not ETOPS certified. The airframe will have type approval for ETOPS which means it has a configuration with the necessary redundancy for key systems like electrical, hydraulics, fire suppression, and communications. Approved and certified are very different meanings, what sort of parts ? I’m not close to an IPC right now, but one that comes to mind is the APU, and it’s sub-assemblies and components. It is an ETOPS certified assembly, and it is approved, for installation on both our B757 & B767 aircraft. I ...Jump to post
I am not aware of “EDTO certified parts Our IPC clearly delineates between a part that is ETOPS approved vs. the same base part number that is not ETOPS approved. Regarding the maintenance perspective, I've heard that some airlines also choose to install ETOPS-certified parts on non-ETOPS aircraft so as to simplify maintenance procedures. Absolutely. Speaking from a maintenance perspective, the only time I’ve come across a piece of metric hardware is when we take something apart at a sub-assembly level, on an Airbus. As for a more fuel efficient car, my new hybrid F150 is being held hostage by the semi-conductor crisis. While, not spectacular, 24MPG is pretty good for an F150. And, better than my Explorer at 20MPG.

I don’t have a smart faucet, but I do have a Delta something-or-another touch faucet. I love it. A quick brush against any of the metal, and I have water flow. It seems normal that someone who fired a gun at another person (that fact is not in dispute, is it?) would be held in custody. Skydrol tends to remove paint and destroy decals. When you see those black streaks around flight controls, that is Skydrol that has dried up causing those streaks.
