Does that mean we'll be seeing JAL A380s?
With negative oil prices, could we dream of a return of the IL-62, IL-86, Tu-154, Tu-134, B-707, DC-8, Concorde...?

ARJ21. OK, so one has been delivered so far, but it has still to enter commercial service, and I can't see it lasting for very long. I doubt many will be built.
Jump to postI've never been a member of WAHS, but I do know some members. If the organisation was started by hobbyists for hobbyists, then what reason is there to believe that the organisation should be anything other than for hobbyists, save for its name? Jump to postIt is not unusual for cards to go for $100+ on eBay. It is difficult to say what the market value is when a high price on eBay can be achieved with just two bidders in a bidding war. In my experience, however, there are only about a dozen regular safety card buyers on eBay (as well as the one-off bu...

Jump to postAs anyone who collects safety cards will know, cards are available from many cargo aircraft. Just off the top of my head, I have seen cards from Martinair, Cathay Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo, China Airlines Cargo, Air Macau Cargo, China Post, and probably many others. Jump to postIf we're specuting up to 2030, who knows, by then there may be other manufacturers in the picture. I wouldn't be surprised if China has something on the cards by then.
Jump to postI have about 50000 timetables (many duplicates) many of which were collected from the airport or city ticket offices. I still have them all stored. Most are from the 1990s, but I do have some going back to the 1920s (from eBay).
Jump to postThree months or so ago I flew on an MU A300 from Guangzhou to Shanghai Hongqiao. Nice to go on one again before they disappear, but in reality, they don't have anything particularly distinguishable about them from inside.
Jump to postEver seeing the ARJ21 in commercial service is in doubt, but it seems Joy Air is still holding out hope as they announce that the ARJ21 will be entering service with them "next year". They've been saying that for the last few years though.
Jump to postI think it's not so surprising in a regulated market. In the days when the US was regulated, there were many many more airlines than there have ever been in China.
Jump to postMost Japanese airlines still print timetables. These can be found at their ticketing desks.
As for others, that I know of, Lao Airlines, Druk Air, Xiamen Airlines, Hebei Airlines.

Jump to postSure, COMAC will need some time to make a name for itself, but with the speed at which China is developing, as well as Asia in general, and with the growing influence of China globally, it would be foolish not to take it as a potential threat (from Airbus and Boeing's points of view) in the future. ...
Jump to postOn the timescales that we're talking about, the outlook could change significantly. Whilst Airbus and Boeing are currently the only serious companies in 737-size and above passenger jets, by the next decade we could quite possibly see Embraer or a Chinese company enter the market.

I thinks it's more likely a case of there not being any destinations in zone 2 (according to your list) that are worth flying to. None of the cities in those provinces have intercontinental flights, as far as I am aware.
