If you are not compelled to take private transport or taxi.
Take the TXL bus. It starts right outside the terminal and takes you to your hotel or connects you to all BVG / DB transport network.

Adding so many asia routes to SJC is not happening anytime soon (SIN and TPE seems too much to imagine)
SJC really has small facilities for CBP etc.
Most likely looks SJC-ICN. and SJC-CDG. (I guess SJC-CDG existed previously on AA 777)

Not heavy, But I was once stranded in SJC to fly to DEN on UA.
And UA announced that since incoming flight is going to be too late, they are running a repositioning flight from SFO to SJC.
It did show up and turned out to be old initial UA 727 lot. What a pleasure.
This was in late 90s.

CLT-GSP(75Miles) is shorter than CLT-GSO (83Mile).
AA operates CRJs on this route (8 to 10 of them in each direction everyday)

Oman Air (WY) are code share with number of airlines. (In fact earlier this year Air France booked me on WY when AF flight was cancelled.) SJC gets a LH(CL) 343 5 days in a week.
It will be refreshing to see a A350 or a 777 in that place.

Another observation at SJC is, its international arrival is pretty small area.
Just be there when LH (343), HU(788) and ANA (788) all show up within half hour of each other.

But I think my opinion is they can attract some more international traffic, like OAK has done. (Air France, JAL, AA to NRT, KE)

KE had 2-5-2 also on their 777s.
They used it on SFO-ICN, definitely in late 2001 / early 2002.
I remember getting (to sleep) on full 5 seats for myself on one such flight.
I was the only assigned seat on those 5, they told me that at checkin, and nobody showed later also.

Also extending 1/19 in the bay: will need to address OAK's pattern and Shipping traffic in the bay also.

HOP (mostly operating in Europe) is good name too.

United, naming its little brother as TED, was lack of creativity imo. (Or they did not want to spend money on branding company to come up with good name and save on some painting / artwork cost too, for low cost airline!)

Reno Air probably had only dozen or so MD80s is it not ?

Most 787 routes today are international. As post #50 said, you need to have hub at one end for international flights to make it viable for airline and passengers too.
