Airport Master Planning

Out of curiosity I was looking through the CVG Master Plan 2050 and on page 86 under the Air Carrier Apron, they list the size aircraft that could fit at each gate in Concourse A and B. Found it interesting that a 747 could be parked at Concourse A and Concourse B's international gates are mostly 76...

STS airport expensive?

Looking to fly into STS from the east coast…flights are so expensive on both AA and UA. Any particular reason? I know its a smaller airport but its so convenient and want to avoid the drive from SFO.

IAD-ACC Aircraft Utilization

With the launch of the IAD-ACC route, I was curious and looked at the utilization. When the route was announced there was prior discussion about flight timings and the plane sitting for a long time in ACC but for the IAD departure, it seems as though for the inaugural flight and yesterday's departur...

RJ to DTW/YUL

Curious about the RJ flight to DTW and YUL. Does the plane overnight at DTW or YUL? I went through the DTW North Terminal recently and the RJ 787 was parked over at the south end. Lots of people checking in. I'm still surprised other carriers haven't picked up a 2-3 weekly route but probably a lot o...

Passed through DTW recently but through the North Terminal. Was curious if there has been any progress on Concourse C in the McNamara terminal? I understand it was originally designed for NW's Saab turboprop but has it gone unused or do CRJs fit in there? Seems like a waste to have specifically desi...

Back in Comair's peak they used to have DAY-CVG on CRJs. Northwest used to operate a turbo prop from TOL-DTW. I also once flew LEX-CVG on a MD-88. Only a 15 minute flight

UA domestic widebody fleet usage

I am planning a west coast trip to see family and noticed UA was using wide bodies quite often, especially the domestic version of the 777. Those seems to be a lot of capacity for not a lot of flyers. Best way to social distance? Thought the 767’s might have been better but maybe less efficient? Jus...
