"Low in frame" reject criteria?

A long time ago I had a screener reject a photo on the basis of centering, and they very kindly pointed out in the personal message that you should always include the landing gear and vertical stabilizer when centering the crop for a photo - don't center the tube or otherwise - an equal distance sho...

Re: Happy ADS-B Mandate!

1090MHz ADS-B out solutions are the only thing visible on FR24 for the time being, so far as I know. 978MHz ADS-B systems (which is what I have on my 172 - uAvionix Skybeacon) aren’t visible yet, but FR24 is working on that now. So there are still some gaps in coverage until those aircraft get picke...

[...] Hey Josh, Normally you would be right, however: Priority screening guidelines General notes: - Priority screening is given up to 24 hours after the first photo was added. - Only the first photos will be added to the banner, to reward those who come to Airlines.net first. - Crops of aircraft d...

De-prioritizing a new registration?

Hi all, Unless there is a new rule change I'm missing, I have always uploaded new registrations with priority. Yesterday I noticed a photo in my queue had been de-prioritized and it's a new registration; not in the database. ID #5792887. Is there an update I'm missing? And apologies if this belongs ...

Admins/Crew: Photo IDs 5455849 and 5454241 both have spam comments on them which I have flagged three times now and still no removal (in the DB over a month now). Can you take care of this, please?

Re: This website runs off of pure speculation.

Well - the forum CERTAINLY runs on pure speculation. :D Way too much of the "my friend told me so, so it must be true" attitudes (and typically they are not nice about it). As you can see from my post count, I never say much - but when I do, I'm typically certain of what I am engaging in. ...

Re: Traffic Today

I priority screened a new DL registration/airframe yesterday only to realize the counters were stuck again - nearly 20 hours on and 0 views. But people don't post pictures just to get a big hit count, do they? ;) Of course somebody will swing at my shallow remark. ;) While I don't upload &q...

Yeah, that looks pretty odd. Unfortunately the view counter issue is persisting. Kas - Any chance of them freezing screening again (per your above-linked thread)? Airport Code Issues (ICAO)

I have noticed a couple of issues with airport codes lately when uploading. As much of a bunch of sticklers the screeners can be for info, I feel it should be corrected. When uploading photos from MCAS Yuma/Yuma International - the ICAO identifier is KNYL. When I used autocomplete, it said no airpor...

airkas1, Thanks for the input - I did not see those updates in the forum so thank you for linking me to them. That is the photo I was referring to past-tense, yes. I was gunning for the "interesting" part myself being the deciding factor - rejection reasons are valid though. :) I have a Hu...

Re: Delta A220 delivery schedule (starting with N102DU)

Reminder: they are no longer CS1s, CS3s, CSeries; they are now Airbus A220's. I hate to bust your chops about your off-topic statement, but the aircraft are maintained with Bombardier manuals. Thus - legally - they are Bombardier aircraft. So going tit-for-tat about the names A220/BCS1 is a moot po...

Re: Delta A220 delivery schedule (starting with N102DU)

Yes, Delta knows when the CS1s will be delivered next year almost down to the day, but this is not something that will be made public. You can get a rough delivery schedule with data sources like Flightglobal's Fleets Analyzer. Reminder: they are no longer CS1s, CS3s, CSeries; they are now Airbus A...

We have a Creative Screening option - so why don't we use it?

Hi all, I am a long time - though not necessarily high-volume - contributor to the site. I was quite excited years ago when the "Creative Screening" checkbox was added, as I felt this would spur on the more artistic nature of some photographers and not merely side-on sunny shots we all lov...

Just a different angle on one of the new seats.
