Re: Air NZ launch Skynest - bunks for economy

Wow, very interesting. Floor space management is going to be tricky with Sky Nest. I hope they will get it right. But it wasn't random, the 5xx gates were gates where you had to take a bus.

Re: CX 777's to US West Coast and ORD vs Australia

Most CX routes to the US have first class. Generally, flights to Australia do not, unless it is a last minute equipment sub. 77H and 77A do have first, 77G and 77K do not.

Re: AS canceling flights due to a bit of snow in SEA?

In Seattle each airline is responsible for de-icing themselves, it has been reported some of Alaska's equipment was not functioning. I happened to arrive in SEA that same morning on ANA and waited for an hour for a Delta plane to deice and clear our gate.

http://www.portseattle.org/Business/Con ... 031416.pdf pages 8-13 will shed some light, nothing have been decided yet as to which route to take.

When AS took over the N gates they modified the gates, so no more widebody gates and there are some Q400 gates there now as well.

As far as expansion, http://www.portseattle.org/Business/Con ... 031416.pdf pages 8-13 will shed some light, nothing have been decided yet as to which route to take.
