Re: Nordica signs new agreement with LOT and cancels 5 routes

it was about time, when I flew them, they cancelled twice due to lack of crew, LOT staff took care of us and solved our situation, the LOT staff said it was a miracle nordica was still flying... Flown a couple segments with Nordica myself and never had any issues. To be honest even being an aviatio...

Re: Why Are Bus Boardings so Common in Europe and so Rare in the USA?

If you’re travelling by an EU country to the USA through another EU country, it is probable that your first plane parks in a remote stand beacause of Schengen Agreement. A flight from FRA to MAD does not need to pass immigration but the plane which is taking you to MAD may go to a non-Schengen coun...

Maybe ViaAir to AMA ( in jest....)

Yeah they didn't last too long. SAT-Mexico has plenty of healthy competition and non-stops between Aeromexico/Interjet/Volaris.

Re: San Antonio Air Service Announcements

Their Twitter page just followed MSP and Sun Country....would venture to guess that is it. I have learned that Twitter following/likes is a good place to find early leaks. TPA did it with AMS. https://twitter.com/SATairport/following That may just be it then. Sun Country didn't come to me right awa...

Re: San Antonio Air Service Announcements

Just spotted on the SAT Airport twitter that a new carrier is joining San Antonio!!! Announcement to be made 01/08 at 9:00 AM CST. Any speculations? Well that leaves Spirit or JetBlue really. Unless its something crazy out of left field. JetBlue hasn't really been expanding much as of late. Sat-BOS...

Re: Delta’s new A220 narrowbody coming on sale for January debut

Aren't the carry on luggage bins relatively large on the A220 compared to other aircraft? That would be a major upgrade in passenger ease of travel. Every flight I've been on lately overflows the overhead luggage bins. Super annoying to have to fight people for space. Yes they are, flown the C seri...

Re: UK, Luton Airport turns 80 !

A jet-ways could come handy as a birthday gift. The only time I've ever used a jetway on an LCC was Malaga, which was 35c. They have to pay more to use them and it effectively blocks the rear doors out. Not completely true. Most of my intra Europe Flights on Norwegian have used jetway for the front...

Not a fan of the new livery at all. Lufthansa without any yellow just doesn't seem right. Time for me to start sliding more bookings over to Lufthansa before the current livery is gone for good.

Re: Air Canada and SAT

I have to take a guess that a good percentage of these passengers are connecting to Europe. I see at least London and Frankfurt are possible with late evening departures out of Toronto. Agreed with this. AC usually has good prices on Europe routes through YYZ. I think most of the traffic they get f...

Nice add for SAT. US Airways had E190 service between the two previously.

Re: Idea how BA can serve San Antonio: Shuttle bus from SA to Austin

Because you have AA who can fly them from SAT to LHR via DFW. This, as someone who travels between the two often. I just connect somewhere on the East Coast or DFW. Not driving or taking a bus all the way to Austin for a nonstop. Too many folks in San Antonio already drive to Austin for flights; ca...

Re: Your Shortest And Longest 757 Flights

Like many folks on here the 757 is by far my favorite aircraft. I'll go out of my way to fly on them any chance I get.

Shortest flight:
DFW-SAT 248 miles on American

Longest Flight:
ATL-SJU 1550 miles on Delta
