It actually makes sense. UA flies PHL-ORD, DEN, IAH already for O&D and can steer more connections through those hubs. If one is going south domestic, because of PHL having nonstops to those markets, there was likely low desirability of a UA ticket like PHL-IAD-RDU or PHL-IAD-MCO and few takers....

I'd bet GSO's bleed is more to RDU than to CLT, at least for Florida, and NK in GSO has to stop some bleed at RDU more than CLT. I personally think that expansion at CVG is going to slow to a crawl for F9. As predicted when WN first arrived at CVG, I think WN is going to take over F9's current role at CVG.
