Over 5% increase in passengers in 2019, great news for Memphis.
You know, back in 2016 I thought this was all kind of a joke and that people on both sides would wake up and do the right thing to keep the government more or less on track. Not only has that not happened, but the zombified GOP is more gung-ho than ever to roll back progress and defend this moron wh...Jump to post
The 787's backlog is less than 200 frames now. Obviously Boeing has other concerns at the moment but even with the anticipated slowdown that's less than 2 years' worth of production. An announcement of incremental improvements could do a lot of good to increase potential interest. Re-engining would...Jump to post

Who operated A343 to SEA?

Allegiant seems to be testing out MEM as a destination city with a few routes not unlike they started out with at BNA. BNA turned out to be a huge success and thus we have seen routes and destinations grow out of there. Will be curious to see how MEM does. Agreed, here's hoping it does well. Come s...Jump to post

Also, it appears this Instagram page has a lot of BNA throwbacks. I scrolled through and found a lot of AA hub stuff. Here’s another 80 at C21. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKzBKCyjAI2/?igshid=1m4ynj44wnn1h There's some great photos on that account, thanks for sharing those! The aviation landscape s...Jump to post
I'm really amazed at some of the fares from MEM, I priced out a Tue to Tue to Mia in June and 199 R/T popped up for Delta with quick connections at ATL and AA's nonstop was 309. That is basic but those still allow a carry on. DL has the a321 first out, last in, wonder if we may see that get a 757 o...Jump to post

They should have leveled the whole thing and start fresh.. I can definitely see the argument there. There's so much empty space in the current configuration, and I'm still not sure how I feel about just "mothballing" A and C once construction on B completes. B will be much improved, but l...Jump to post
Looks like Terminal B renovations are continuing to make good progress. Some nice photos posted to the MEM facebook account this morning. https://www.facebook.com/flymemphis/posts/2577788775769311 I stull think they should have just done all of B and not 2/3rds. Agreed, that was shortsighted on the...Jump to post

The rout just continues. First the shutdown, followed immediately by a delay in the return to service of likely at least 5-6 more months. Yeesh... how much more can this program take?Jump to post
I work for an airline in BNA. Always curious what’s going on the other side of the state. I visited Memphis last summer for a trip to Graceland. I was pretty impressed with everything. I can tell MEM has a lot of potential. The new terminal renovations are much needed. They’ll definitely help attra...Jump to post
Allegiant adds new seasonal routes to/from CVG/PIT/PBI and the most odd ball thing I think I've ever seen, DSM. Considering that Allegaint started BOS this time around, DSM over BOS is wacky at best. OAK and it's once weekly did not come back. I still say MEM/TYS on Thur/Sun would be a slam dunk. Y...Jump to post

This may or may not be a relevant question for this thread, but what are the best spotting locations people have found for MEM? Next time I'm in town I would love to try and get a shot of some of the FedEx ramp, you don't see too many pictures of it (maybe by design). Maybe some approaches too... N...Jump to post

How Boeing manages to get this project going while dealing with still-increasing MAX fallout will be very interesting. Who knows how big a hole they'll have dug by the time this is all over. If they overcome all this and the NMA is successful, it will be an incredible turnaround.Jump to post

I saw pics of the plane just after the tornado and from the hanger later and that was one messed up plane! On October 21st a tornado came through MEM and caused some significant damage to a parked UPS 757. I've found no updates about it other than it remains stored.
