Sounds like the main trunk routes in Norway can support only 2 airlines, not 3.... ie no change in the last few years.

If Schiphol cannot handle traffic demand in November, then it has no chance for July 2023 without some significant changes.

Or is this part of a plan to reduce the number of available slots a year earlier than previously announced ? Blame Schiphol, and get everyone used to the new Govt policy ?

I'm struggling to think of any cities in the world which have strong long-haul (i.e. more than 4 or 5 hours flying distance with an Airbus/Boeing jet) coverage from all 3 alliances. New York is the only other place I can think of... maybe Los Angeles if you want to be generous How many global cities...

There is significantly more wealth in Cambridge than there is in Doncaster... with a correspondingly greater need in Cambridge for land for homes. If Doncaster airport closes, it's likely to end up as warehouses and light industrial units - I do not see a vast need for house-building in Doncaster

The branding of all the airlines is very weak compared to the Ryanair brand. I don't believe most passengers would really recognise Buzz or Lauda Europe as genuine separate companies - to the average person they are all Ryanair except for technicalities

There is no obligation on an airport to operate a Lost/Found office. The airport is entirely within rights to throw away any items that people leave behind.
If the airport chooses to operate a Lost/Found office, the airport gets to choose the costs and charges to people

Star already has major airlines in both China and Japan. If Korean left Skyteam and joined Star, you would see Skyteam's relevance on trans Pacific routes rapidly collapse, and Star would gain monopoly-like dominance on any USA-Korea routes. It was my comment. When airlines fly to area of the world which are sometimes unstable, geopolitics can have a significant effect on their operations, much as a global pandemic can. I imagine some airlines (including perhaps Wizzair and Ryanair) would have happily flown people around Europe in April...

Wizz flying to Ukraine in late February wasn't that bad an idea. Continuing to base aircraft overnight in Ukraine was a very bad idea.
