Re: Will Delta ever bring back JFK-BUD?

IIRC, DL flew JFK-BUD from the PanAm acquisition in '91, until it was cut post-9/11. They returned to the route briefly (it may have been flown seasonally?) during a phase of international expansion in the mid-2000s. Since the Northwest merger, they seem to be content routing those customers via AMS...

I'm not so sure. DL flies 4x daily each LAS-SNA, LAS-SAN, and LAS-SJC. Could we be witnessing the birth of a focus city?

Re: Delta "Flying Colonel" program-need some insight

IIRC, Flying Colonel, and its predecessor, Flying Orchid, were titles given to people who either helped Delta, or were able to use influence that could bring business to Delta. Corporate travel secretaries were given Flying Orchid status, and were often sent flowers in recognition or thanks. Senator...

Interesting choice for Delta to trial run this only on their NRT-PDX route. I wonder why that route was chosen.

PDX is a small domicile/base for DL flight attendants, which makes it easier to manage training and support.

Great questions! I would like to add another: what is the slot allocation per carrier? I'd especially like to know AA, B6, and DL's slot portfolios.

Re: What's Next for Denver (2018 version)

It's been some time since we discussed what we thought would be next new destinations to/from Denver? United claims that they will be adding a lot of capacity to the market in the coming quarters (including bringing back the London flight) but does anyone have any interesting ideas of what's next f...

Re: DL reducing DCA-SLC to daily, starting DCA-LAX

SLC is also closer to Seattle and I wouldn't be surprised if the logic behind giving the flight to LAX is because is serves a different part of country and therefore a different market.
