UA's first import from China Southern, A319 N876UA (former B-6040) has been in AMA for one week now. That has to be close to unveiling, right?

Yes imo, the main fleet/network thread talks about individual aircraft movements whereas this thread tracks specifically repaint progress. It would be easy for that data to get lost in the larger thread.

The website mentions the project is done with 10R departures in mind. How often are the 10s in use? When I'm doing my sim flying, SFO and FLR are the only two airports where I never have to wonder the direction I'll be landing.

You should be able to add Early Bird for $15 to your itinerary. This way, you'll automatically be checked in before the general crowd and likely get a top-30 position. In my experience, anything higher than B60 guarantees you a window seat.

In other instances, particularly in the case of intersecting runways, they can be used to keep the touchdown zone and the "piano keys" away from an intersecting runway (I believe that is why 31L at JFK is displaced so much). Although the touchdown zone for 31R is right smack in the middle...

IMO for there to be a viable redeye flight there needs to be a minimum three-hour difference between departure and arrival times (local) so 00:00-03:00 or 01:00-04:00. We're lucky we don't see them even more often. A DFW-JFK flight could be 00:00-04:45 easily.

IIRC..... United will receive 2 77W's and 2 78J's before year's end, so we'll have our first look at the new livery on a widebody jet. Can't wait :) That's correct! I also remember hearing painting will pick up again at the end of the summer so we'll start to see the rest of the fleet follow suit.

At airports where there's only one gate for a given airline, I'm sure it's in the briefing. When BA228 lands at BWI, they know they can go right to E1. I'm sure it's a similar situation at BNA, MSY, CHS, etc.
