Thanks everyone. I see it is UP, 1, 2, 3, FULL. But for some reason the panel we have from flightdecksolutions is labelled 0 1 2 3 4. It's also flat rather than curved to follow the lever. Im building the mechanism as a lever though, so if they get round to rele...Jump to post
OK, I've had quite a few delays in this project, namely with getting the thrust levers rebuilt. I've just come back to this topic now to confirm I have roughly the correct idea. If you could visualise a cross section, showing the gates, my drawing should hopefully be correct. Note I have not attempt...Jump to post
Hi, Just a quick couple of questions for anyone with experience flying the A320 (or other Airbus FBW aircraft) We're making an A320 simulator, and I'm designing the flap lever and spoiler mechanism. Firstly, Flaps - Am I right in thinking that the bottom part of the lever is pulled up and then the f...Jump to post
New graphics card w/ at least 64MB memory on it - about £40 for a full kit. Not sure if you'd be able to get a new processor - If your motherboard will take higher speed CPUs, you would have to get one on Ebay as Intel don't make the P3s. I would recommend a new motherboard such as an AMD Athlon boa...Jump to post
LCD is not quite so good.
The best thing to do is to buy a video projector........now that would be cool, project your FS screens onto your wall and then sit under the projector which is ceiling mounted and play FS!!!!!!
Hehe, I think I steal one from college now!
Run a web server on it. That's one of the best uses for it!
Then just think of broadband as standard and dial up as from the dark ages, rather than dial up standard and broadband some kind of futuristic thing.
EGNV (We were visited by a 742 last Thursday!!!!!)
Download the AVG6 program from http://www.grisoft.com/ Once its done its bit, you will find out exactly what virus it is (as W95 is not a specific virus). Then if you can connect to the internet, do a search for the virus name, find out what it has done, and set about reinstalling the applicable win...Jump to post
The title of the post reflects the nature of the AI traffic - its dumb! No amount of programming can make it intelligent. They could perhaps make improvements to the AI traffic's intelligence for the next FS version, I'm sure they're working on it now!Jump to post
And the reason why FS2002 always says 29.92 is because that is the pressure setting in the weather setup. Try changing it. ATC never tell you to change on FS2002. I sometimes find out the airfield elevation and subtract this from the altimeter. IE if the elevation of an airfield is 200ft AMSL, and I...Jump to post
I always used to have that problem but I can successfully land now with full panel active. However I do agree that on flare you can lose sight of the runway. Make sure you only flare 2 or 3 degrees and keep speed under control with elevator on approach. Also if you change views and then return to yo...Jump to post
Continental: Hmm-maybe not! I've got a handy mathematical program I written in C++ though. I am aware that you can get addons which make the scenry more realistic, I donwloaded some mesh demos which I was very impressed with - I dont understand why MS couldnt make it a bit better at least in the pop...Jump to post
(Other comments welcome as well of course!) Today when I was posting a message (I do this quite often) I clicked 'post' and then of course it came up to verify what I was about to post. I decided I wanted to edit so I clicked the browser's back button and of course the text had been removed from the...Jump to post
It can be to do with enabling the autopilot before your takeoff roll. Check that you havent done this, double check the trim on hold for runway. It does this (well at least to me anyway) if I set a VS or ALT setting, as we are at 0ft/min VS on the ground it will trim right back in an effort to get o...Jump to post
I dont think you can edit it in aircraft.cfg. You many need to adjust the .air files and for that to be done you need a compiler. I may be wrong and it will depend which aircraft you are using in particular as to how they can be adjusted. Hopefully someone else can help further - try emailing the ai...Jump to post
No we wont because we, just like the US, have invested so much in roads (or highways if you prefer). I think its more logical anyway. We do things from left to right like reading for instance. Left is kind of like the first side if you know what I mean.....hmmm probably not, nevermind!
Someone a...Jump to post
Now I took a look at the ebay auction, I realised that they have (or used to have) one of these in Newcastle Airport, UK. I put in £1, and I could not get it do anything. From the runway the plane would not accelerate past about 70kts and then time ran out because I had not taken off!!!!!! Very emba...Jump to post
I thought I would investigate the drift effect in FS2002. I took my flight computer out and keyed in wind speed of 66kts from 250 (or was it 260). The course I wanted was 353 and I maintained a heading of 345 throughout the flight and that kept me on course. So overall I was very impressed at the re...Jump to post
WOW! The one with the ANA planes! I was on holiday in Puerto del Carmen (lanzarote, canary islands) and it was in one of the arcades there. No one had a clue how to 'fly' it. I immediately became top of the scoreboard for all levels LOL. Everyone was stood around watching me as well! Then I saw some...Jump to post
Yeah I like NCL. My local airport is MME (Teesside), obviously I cant vote for that being the best airport in the UK it is great in its own right...I wish we had an airline based there. However, I wouldnt say NCL is the best airport sorry.....Manchester would have to get my vote. I don't like photog...Jump to post
Macromedia Fireworks 4 - of course! I tend to use different programmes for one graphic. Theres different features I like of different packages. I even use MS Paint on occasions but not for creating the graphic in its first form. I'd like to help but I cant cos I'm going on holiday (or vacation if yo...Jump to post
Hmmm, you'll probably have to spell it out LOL.
Maybe someone can write out the french alphabet in phonetics for you
Well done to everyone else who contributed to this post, there's some good french going on...
Take it from the add/remove programs list. It shouldn't be that hard! I've done it loads of times, but there's always people saying its taking over! My IE is provided by AOL, its because IE is provided with various ISP setup discs, I think the ISPs will pay Microsoft to allow the free distribution o...Jump to post
