This is a construction zone. The center here is not open to any traffic. There was not coordination with the police as it was an emergency landing. The pilot stated it was a full engine failure. Glad all were safe!

I know Rule 240 is outdated but aren't the carriers obligated to comply with similar "conditions of carriage" mandated by the FAA? These conditions are only if absolutely the carriers fault (mechanical).

I think WN left most of these markets (or reduced their frequencies) before DL moved in. Consistent AS pressure and pricing made it so WN went after bigger fish.

Alaska 1351 scheduled from BOS to SFO is diverting to BOI. This is an A320. I'm thinking a fuel stop due to winds? If a medical or other reason, there are other airports that are closer. Thoughts?

I believe (not confirmed) that the runways are too close together to all be used at the same time. Also, they are confined in real estate. They don't have much room to grow beyond the plans already in place.
