Have to agree. Embraer makes the planes so the windows line up with the seats. Provided you have a reasonable seat pitch. 20 windows 20 rows. On Scareways they cram 86 seats on the plane vs the normal 76.

I don't think RJs are built to last, either. Boeings last for half a century or more, it seems. But these RJs probably have only about 15-20 good years in them before they should be scrapped or turned into freight haulers!

I was wondering the same thing recently, so I checked with a friend and found out they are actually doing pretty well. Most recent data shows that on time is around 86% and controllable completion is 99.7%. Pretty good numbers.

EMBQA is absolutely right. Doesn't matter what aircraft you are on, the electric hydraulic pumps are loud loud loud!
Once the engine-driven pumps come online after engine start, the electric standby pumps shut off.
