The reason why college costs in the United States are so out of control is because the government got involved. By dishing out cheap loans, schools raised their tuition and fees knowing students could easily get loans to handle the increase costs. This created a vicious cycle....higher costs led to ...Jump to post
When multiple local media outlets reported this incident, there was no mention about the victims being "drenched in blood" and no mention of the perps "telling us how Trump was going to take care of us immigrants". The only "news" story claiming these facts are from the...Jump to post
CM476 has turned around and is going back to PTY. Gate space may be an issue at ORD since LH went to DTW and BA went to LAS. FI671 still has yet to divert, but I am sure it will. Also, it's looking like we will have two BA flights tomorrow to make up for today. Will this be the case with the LH and ...Jump to post
Copa 476 PTY-DEN is in the air with an estimated arrival time around 8:00pm MDT. I wonder if the folks at DEN told them they expect to have a runway open by then. LH446 has made a hard left turn over northern Ontario but has not filed its diversion airport as far as I can tell. Just based on heading...Jump to post
LH480 MUC-DEN is now diverting to ORD. I expect BA219 LHR-DEN and LH447 FRA-DEN to follow. All runways at DEN are still closed. I live in Colorado Springs and tried to get to work at DEN but had to turn around and go back home. I left before 11am, and just now got back home at 2pm. I made it about 1...Jump to post
Icelandair still has their flight inbound as well. They departed after I made my post above. My guess is they will eventually go to MSP as conditions at DEN are not forecasted to have improved around their scheduled arrival time. The local media reported around 1:30pm MDT that all six runways at DE...Jump to post
Yeah, DEN operations are done for the day. The latest weather report at 11:00am MDT had heavy snow, 0.15mi visibility, 400 foot ceilings, and winds 55mph sustained with gusts to 75mph. The only aircraft in the air bound for DEN at the moment are BA and the 2 LH flights. I'll be dollars to doughnuts ...Jump to post

Most pilots can't tell an A320 from a 737, you expect them to be any better distinguishing a drone from a hovering buzzard?

I grew up frequently hanging out at the malls in the 1980s and spending a lot of quarters at the arcades playing pinball. I continued to play into the early 1990s at college. After I graduated and started a normal adult life, I rarely played as pinball machines rapidly disappeared from grocery store...Jump to post
Even before the whole Kaepernick happened, he was probably heading to this conclusion anyway. His store is located in a dying mall which has had a lot of shops close recently, especially the businesses that are competing with the "big boys" (Dicks Sporting Goods, Big 5, Walmart, Amazon, an...Jump to post
I didn't see anything unusual around that time (I am very close to Lone Tree). In the past, I have seen very bright, slow moving objects in the sky just after sunset. When I break out the binoculars, it is an aircraft overflying Denver that has a strong reflection from the sun that's hitting it at a...Jump to post

He did lie to them about a raise and exposed SEAL team members, which is operationally verboten. Or did he declassify that information so he wouldn’t get the catcalls he so richly deserves. Can we stop talking about the registration of drones as being the end all solution to everything?
Vehicles have to be registered with every sale yet they are frequently used in the commission of a crime. All a bad guy has to do to harm with a drone is steal one....registration prevents nothing.
Just last week all we heard about her is "she's in fine health". The following week, "oh, she has cancer".
Her team of doctors are working hard to keep her alive through the Trump presidency. Pretty soon she is just going to be a head in a jar like on Futurama.

So if you believe that women indeed do make significantly less than their male counterparts, then why isn't 100% of all new hiring only women? Wouldn't it make sense for a company to save money by only hiring women?Jump to post

I knew this test message from FEMA was going to generate another anti-Trump thread on here. Imagery on Google was acquired in November 2016. The imagery on Bing is much older than that. I used to work on the Bing Maps program and the last time imagery of this area was acquired was likely prior to 2012. After 2014, Microsoft decided to sell off almost all of their mapping assets, so most of...Jump to post

Nor does Tesla receive the $7,500/2,500, that is returned directly back to the taxpaying car buyer - of any electric. True, government rebates do go direct to the final purchaser, but Tesla still benefits from it. Any time the government offers rebates on anything on a large scale, the purchase pri...Jump to post
What taxpayer funded government subsidies are those? Space?
