It was the flight attendants that were the ones who demanded the mask mandates to begin with. Now they complain about the stress and hardship they have in enforcing it. Maybe they and their union should have thought about that before pushing for it.

Since the diversion wasn't a "land immediately at the nearest suitable airport" situation, I'm guessing it had to do with something ETOPS related. Some equipment probably failed that wouldn't allow for a legal ETOP flight, so off to BOS.

During the past several Christmas seasons, Delta has used the 767-300 and 767-400 on the Atlanta flight. Now that they are at the end of Concourse A, I assume this is no longer possible as they no longer have a widebody capable gate?
