I am not sure if y'all noticed but we have some exciting flights today. The return of QR with the A359 just landed. Correct me if I am wrong, but today is also the first time the A350-1000 has been to BOS. S4 also returns today. With LH scheduled for tomorrow with the A333. Happy spotting! It's not...Jump to post
Ground stop in the NYC area due to ATC staffing issues.

My intent was not regarding BLR alone but India in general. FYI, finance and investment banking capital in India is not BLR, HYD or DEL - it is BOM.. Their IT departments are in Bangalore. I know this because I work for one of them and as a lowly IT guy I still get to travel in business class ;) St...Jump to post
Speaking about new BOS flights this year, what do you all think the chances are for a direct BOS-India flight? I'll go with zero It's very unlikely (impossible?) to be a US carrier and even if an Indian one flies, will that attract US based travelers? As a regular traveler to India I'd gladly take ...Jump to post
Number of Fortune 500 companies isn't a great measure. As an example, GE is in the top 20 and headquartered in Boston...there is very little headcount in Boston. For that matter, there are plenty of large Fortune 1000 or 2000 companies, or even private companies for that matter, that drive butts in ...Jump to post
Having been to Macau (as a side trip from Hong Kong) , I don’t see a lot of traffic from the west. I don’t remember seeing hardly any westerners while I was there in 2015. Unless the demo of who visits Macau is changing, I don’t see a whole lot of demand to Macau. From Macau to the west may be a dif...Jump to post
Arrived at both multiple times and definitely better in those modern airports but I'd say the walk is also a good bit longer from Gate to Carousel so not necessarily apples to apples. It feels like it's a much shorter walk at Terminal E. I will say having arrived at E on Emirates in J or F multiple ...Jump to post

I’ve wondered this myself. QR used to depart back to DOH around 9pm and now it’s been pushed back to 11pm. Maybe Logan has cheaper fees for gate usage at later hours vs more prime hours? Just a guess. These times allow for EK and QR to arrive at bank hours for pax to connect onto other flights (mor...Jump to post
RAM managed 76% on their first 8 flights for the BOS-CMN service. (1,674 on 2,192 available seats) Thanks for providing those stats. I was very curious what initial loads for RAM looked like. Is 76% decent for the first 8 flights? Nice to see a big jump in the Middle East, I can't wait to see how m...Jump to post
As a relatively frequent BLR traveler from BOS I was at first intrigued by the thought of potentially connecting in EWR rather than in DOH/DXB but the more I think about it the more I’d prefer to connect outside the country, at least on the way back to the states. Arriving international and connecti...Jump to post
It would certainly be a change in strategy from what AA is doing now. Which isn't to say that couldn't happen, but AA seems focused on their hubs. If they were going to launch TATL, why would they shut down all of their local northeast feeder routes? One reason is BOS is predominantly a O&D air...Jump to post

If you arrive during the European rush during the evening in the summer, it can save you up to an hour or two of standing in lines (worst days). I frequently deboard near the end and leave Immigrations and customs before my bags have arrived at the carousel. ...thereby negating your advantage ;) Ju...Jump to post
KLM will add 3x weekly flights between Amsterdam and Bengaluru from 28 October 2019: KL879 AMS 1105-0050+1 BLR (Mon, Wed, Fri) KL880 BLR 0245-0820 AMS (Tue, Thur, Sat) Flights will operate on B787-9 with 30 Business Class, 45 Premium Economy and 219 Economy seats totalling 294 seats Not a good sche...Jump to post
Many of the international services to Boston have either been upgraded in terms of aircraft size (QR, EK, El Al etc.) or frequency (Cathay, Hainan, TK, etc.). What about JAL? Are they at equilibrium BOS-NRT with their daily 787-9 or is there room to grow the service? I'm wondering if we might see a...Jump to post
I may have figured out the UP BOS-NAS flights. Swift Air flew 3 734 flights today. Flightstats also list these flights as UP depatures https://www.flightstats.com/v2/flight-tracker/route/BOS/NAS?year=2019&month=5&date=12&hour=0 https://flightaware.com/live/flight/SWQ4007/history/2019051...Jump to post
At BOS for a trip to MCO and interesting announcement of a gate change for EI134 to Shannon from C18, I guess that gate can also take a big NB without issue because C17 is being used by TAP I've taken this flight multiple times and each time the 757 has departed from C20 so there's another 757-size...Jump to post

Bit of old news there. Recently booked a trip on QR for next month. The business seat map looks about 2/3 full as of now which seems pretty respectable. Excited to fly QR for the first time but sad I won’t get the Q suite on the long haul (though it looks like I get it on my connecting flight!). I’ve been a loyal EK flyer...Jump to post
You used to be able to find Qantas signage in a few places, but I don't recall them actually flying. I think it probably had something to do with codeshare tie ups they had. My most recent memory dates back only a few years when you'd here Qantas announcements on the Silver Line - not sure if they s...Jump to post
Are the LY birds the same type? Was the second diversion just so they could avoid a positioning flight? The aircraft can stay where they are and operate the returns without much fuss.
Probably cheaper to shuttle all the passengers wherever they need to be than move aircraft around.
Terminal E will be quite interesting tonight with both LH422, and LH424 Arriving within 5 minutes of each other, especially with LH420 running only 2hrs behind LH422/424. Which means that there is a slight possibility of seeing all three LH birds on the ground at the same time in BOS! Wonder how th...Jump to post
I heard a rumor recently that DL is planning on officially making BOS a hub in 2019, anyone heard anything about this? They called it a hub officially in a recent past when their presence was smaller than what it is today so not surprised that they will start calling it a hub again. I think if a go...Jump to post
Absolutely true. I fly an even shorter hop to Shannon periodically and typically will fly out on Saturday night so I can use Sunday to acclimate. Far from ideal. And while I could technically justify J and fly out the Sunday night red eye it’s such a short hop that it’s hardly worth it in my experie...Jump to post
I have Global sentry so never have much of a problem, but the last time I arrived a colleague with Mobile Passport cleated before I did - no lines in either queue.
