Re: Boston Aviation Thread - 2019

If getting people in/out of HK is an issue it won't matter who the carrier is.

The fact remains though that BOS-HKG is a very popular route! I've personally flown BOS-DXB-HKG in the past.

RAM managed 76% on their first 8 flights for the BOS-CMN service. (1,674 on 2,192 available seats) Thanks for providing those stats. I was very curious what initial loads for RAM looked like. Is 76% decent for the first 8 flights? Nice to see a big jump in the Middle East, I can't wait to see how m...

Re: Rumour: 2020 launch of UA EWR-BLR (Bangalore, India)

As a relatively frequent BLR traveler from BOS I was at first intrigued by the thought of potentially connecting in EWR rather than in DOH/DXB but the more I think about it the more I’d prefer to connect outside the country, at least on the way back to the states. Arriving international and connecti...

It would certainly be a change in strategy from what AA is doing now. Which isn't to say that couldn't happen, but AA seems focused on their hubs. If they were going to launch TATL, why would they shut down all of their local northeast feeder routes? One reason is BOS is predominantly a O&D air...

Are the LY birds the same type? Was the second diversion just so they could avoid a positioning flight? The aircraft can stay where they are and operate the returns without much fuss.

Probably cheaper to shuttle all the passengers wherever they need to be than move aircraft around.
